Itinerary
Spend five nights sailing to northern Spain and back again. Ports include:
- Getxo (for Bilbao)... make your own way to Bilbao—the train takes around 20 minutes from port—to see Warhol and de Kooning artworks in the Guggenheim Museum. You can also try pintxos, the bite-size snacks that are a staple of Basque culture.
- Santander... enjoy a seaside walk to the local lighthouse, or chill on a golden-sand beach. Culture buffs have a Medieval church, former royal palace, maritime museum, and contemporary art gallery to explore.
Ship details
Borealis carries 1353 guests at full capacity. Since it's a relatively small ship, you'll enjoy a warm, spacious atmosphere on board.
Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, and afternoon tea is served every day. This includes finger sandwiches, scones, and cakes. For something special, dine at Fred. Olsen's speciality restaurants for a small supplement.
Cosy up in The Observatory during the day, and watch big-production shows at night. Then, enjoy dancing after the evening performance. The Morning Light pub is the best spot to grab drinks with new-found friends. The ship is full of live music and pub quizzes in the evening.
Other options
Solo travellers can sail in a Superior Ocean Fully Obstructed View Cabin from £1036.
