Itinerary highlights
Fly to Lisbon and board the ship straight away, then call at:

  • Portimão... sail through the river mouth to dock at this pretty fishing port. Get a 5-minute taxi to Praia da Rocha, a wide, golden-sand beach. Or, take another 25-minute taxi to the famous rock archway.
  • Seville (two nights in port)... spend two days and nights here so you can see Seville after the daytrippers depart. Explore its palaces, flamenco bars, and Moorish gardens.
  • Gibraltar... go up to the top deck to see the iconic Rock of Gibraltar appear over the horizon. Cable cars run to the Upper Rock, where you'll see some of Europe's only primates.
  • Málaga... this is one of Spain's oldest cities. Explore the whitewashed streets and sunny plazas, or book an optional excursion to Grenada.
  • Cádiz... explore the storied Old Town. The city is also famous for Spanish horsemanship, and there are plenty of impressive shows.
  • Lisbon (one night in port)... spend a final night docked in Lisbon before you disembark first thing and transfer to your city centre hotel.

You'll finish up with a 2-night hotel stay in Lisbon at the Behotelisboa. This 4-star hotel is in a renovated 18th-century building on a cobbled street near Rossio Square. It's a great spot for exploring the heart of the city.

Ship details
Azamara Quest is a boutique cruise ship that carries 704 passengers. Smaller than average, it can dock earlier and spend longer in port. You'll normally stay in port from early morning to early evening.

Meals, gratuities, and room service are included. Drinks are included, too—each day, choose from select standard spirits, international beers, a changing selection of two red and two white wines, and one rosé, and one sparkling wine by the glass.

The cruise line is dedicated to destination immersion, so things are included that you'd pay extra for on other cruises. For example, shuttle buses into port are always included, and an AzAmazing Evening excursion takes place once per voyage. This is a unique immersive experience, like a show or a concert, held in port to give guests a taste of local culture.

Other options
Sail in a Balcony Stateroom for an extra £299 per person.

Transfers & baggage
Private transfers and 20kg baggage included.

Tourist taxes of 4€ per person, per night, apply in Lisbon.
