Itinerary

  • Rome... you'll begin the holiday with an overnight stay in the city of Rome. Your 5-star hotel is right in the centre, just a 10-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain. The next day, you'll be whisked to the port of Civitavecchia via a private transfer to embark Explora II
  • Naples... your first port of call is all about "volcanic drama", according to Lonely Planet, and offers the "best pizza, pasta and espresso" in Italy. The ruins of Pompeii can be reached by taxi in around 30 minutes.
  • Sicily... you'll make port in Trapani, on the island's western coast. Stroll through the charming streets lined with Baroque buildings, or grab a drink along the promenade lined with bobbing fishing boats.
  • Tunisia... Sousse is just south of the capital of Tunis, and is home to ancient catacombs and traditional souks that are ripe for discovery.
  • Mallorca... this sunny Balearic capital is a warren of pretty stone streets crowned by a golden Gothic cathedral.
  • Barcelona... there is so much to see and do in this buzzing city. Head to Gaudí's colourful Parc Güell for pretty mosaics and panoramic city views, wander the winding cobbled streets of the Gothic Quarter, or sit outside a bar on the Plaça Reial and enjoy a jug of sangria while watching the world go by.

Ship details
Explora II is set to launch next month, and will be the second ship in the Explora Journeys fleet. With a crew to passenger ratio of 1.25 to 1, the ship will provide high levels of personal service. The ship has been designed to have more of the feel of a superyacht rather than a traditional cruise ship, and has been equipped with environmentally-friendly technologies.

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with a bottle of champagne in your stateroom, as well as a bottle of your favourite wine and spirit, and a fully stocked mini bar. There are six main restaurants to choose from, include a pan-Asian restaurant, a steakhouse, a French-inspired restaurant, plus more laid-back eateries.

Facilities include three outdoor swimming pools, including an adults-only one with its own bar, a wellness area with both indoor and outdoor spas, and a gym. There will also be a variety of activities on board such as cooking classes.
