About Gareth Malone OBE
Gareth Malone OBE first appeared on TV in the BAFTA award-winning series, "The Choir", for the BBC, along with three further series; "The Choir: Boys Don’t Sing", "The Choir: Unsung Town", and "The Choir: Military Wives". Gareth has had three number one records in the UK with the Military Wives Choir and Gareth's All Star Choir for Children in Need. His 2014 series, "The Big Performance" won the Royal Television Society award for best children’s television, and "Gareth Goes to Glyndebourne" won an International Emmy. In 2023, Gareth appeared in "Sing For The King: The Search for the Coronation Choir". His most recent series, "Gareth Malone's Easter Passion", was called "engaging and enlightening" by The Daily Telegraph.
Hotel details
Set in 440 acres of Oxfordshire countryside near the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Heythrop Park is a Grade II-listed country house dating from the early 18th century. The estate is part of the Warner Hotels group, and was extensively renovated in 2022.
Facilities include an 18-hole golf course with a driving range, three restaurants, multiple lounges, and a spa with a 20-metre pool, a sauna, a steam room, a thermal suite, a scented relaxation room, and a gym. Additional fitness, yoga, and meditation classes are included for all guests at no extra charge.
There are two live evening entertainment venues, and daily sessions of archery, rifle shooting, and laser clay pigeon shooting (to name a few). A range of additional activities, including gin-tasting and cocktail making, and spa and beauty treatments, are also available for a supplement.
