Why We Love This Hotel

  • The Southgate Hotel opened in summer 2024 in the North London suburb of Southgate.
  • Decor is sleek and contemporary, with each bedroom featuring a flatscreen LED TV, power shower, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and free Wi-Fi.
  • Dining options include a restaurant serving a casual-dining menu with stone-oven pizza (available 24 hours a day). There's also a bar offering non-alcoholic beers, wines, prosecco, and mocktails.
  • The hotel's fitness studio has a treadmill, bike, rowing machine, and weights.
  • The Art Deco, flying saucer-shaped Southgate Tube station is a few minutes' walk from the hotel. Direct trains from there to Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square take around half an hour.

Clean modern. Convenient parking and tube access but more expensive than premier inn nearby. Long tube journey 47 minutes to central London

The hotel is over the tube line so in ground floor rooms you can hear the trains. No alcohol no pork. There was a misunderstanding about breakfast. My booking clearly stated buffet breakfast was included. The hotel disputed this in a public way which was embarrassing and intimidating. No Standard uk power sockets next to bed only usb and phone and international style.
