Staff excellent. Room bright and had everything required only criticism is pillows very hard and made uncomfortable night sleep

Very nice hotel. Room was ok but on second floor so quite a lot of noise outside from railway and people talking loudly early morning. A room on a higher floor would probably have been better.

The hotel took payment twice from my credit card and it took four phone calls to finally get someone to accept that, investigate and provide a refund.

Overall very satisfied with my stay. Disappointed with service in bar restaurant. "Rocked to sleep" by trains passing under the hotel building.
Other Comments
Need for staff training. Waiting staff need training to be aware of customers, and not be "inattentive to customers". Bar staff need training in serving "pints of Guinness ".

Great location. Very clean rooms. Quiet. No noise from road. Comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent. Communal areas are dated but didn’t detract from our stay. Felt nostalgic. Would recommend and would definitely go back.
