The hotel's decor is a fusion of Hungarian folklore and modern design. The colour palette includes blue and green, inspired by Hungary's lakes and forests.
Choose from three dining venues. AGOS restaurant serves Hungarian cuisine with Mediterranean influences. Enjoy a drink and panoramic views at the garden-like Fennen rooftop bar. Bar HUSO is a whimsical spot for creative cocktails.
The 5-star property is on the Buda side of the Danube River. The historic Castle District and Margaret Island are a short walk away, and downtown Pest is across the river.

This hotel is exceptionally well located. On the way side of the Danube away from all the noise and tourist traps but with very easy links or walking routes to everywhere. Everything about the hotel is stylish and welcoming.

The service was friendly throughout though perhaps some inconsistencies in training/ability. The location was convenient. The lobby and public areas were excellent. Breakfast was fair. The room was clean and in good condition but very warm, with an unnecessarily high A/C minimum, so sleep quality could have been improved. For this reason I would not return.

You didn’t ask about the food, which is outstanding. The breakfast had everything one would want and more, including fresh-squeezed orange juice, smoked salmon, and eggs Benedict. This is the kind of hotel that prides itself on its individuality, complete with a rooftop bar that looks like a jewelbox and amazing statues and paintings throughout. Even the hallways are stylishly decorated.

We received a wonderful welcome when we arrived at Kimpton and that was just the beginning. The staff were all extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff couldn't do enough to help us.
The Hotel is stunning with beautiful decor and it is spotlessly clean. Stunning rooftop bar . We had the spa to ourselves so really enjoyed the facilities.

I booked this hotel months in advance and printed out my email confirmation but didn't have my TravelZoo QR code handy which was required. Thankfully I was able to find it but I recommend anyone booking this hotel through TravelZoo have their QR code on hand. The hotel itself was fairly new and on the Buda side of the side (west of the Danube River). The room was small but very clean and the space was very well-utilized. It had just about everything that we needed. The only issue we ran into is the noise on the night of their one year anniversary party but the manager made it right the next morning with the way he handled the situation. I really liked the location though I suspect some people would prefer to stay east of the Danube River which is closer to the "action." I liked being on the west side which was easy walking distance to just about everything we wanted to do. The room came with breakfast but we did not take advantage of that.

Lovely design hotel with attention to detail. Incredible staff, we really appreciated the social hour as well.
One minor negative was the turn down service, They forgot twice, even though we specifically asked. In the end it was the most basic turn down service we have ever had. If this can be improved it would be great!

From the moment of entering the hotel, every single thing was wonderful. The lobby is beautiful (in fact every part of the hotel is beautifully appointed), calming and inviting. The staff have been welcoming and kind. I could go on and on but you may think I'm exaggerating. I'm not. Also, we felt it was in a very location. We walked 3 min to the tram that took us all over the city. We also had a marvelous view of the parliament buildings across the river. We highly recommend this property. Shout out to Zoltan, our server at breakfast (amazing breakfast, as well). He was friendly, efficient, checked in with us often yet not too much. Bravo, Zoltan.

One expects quality from a Kimpton level hotel. But the service surpassed the exquisite decor of this hotel.
From the moment we walked in and being received by the bellman who handed us a glass of bubbly and then offered a glass of good quality Palinka to the front desk man taking an interest in our desires and giving us a tour. The bellman then also made sure we were taken care of in the restaurant with a perfect wine selection.
The concierge was a delight. He most certainly earned his golden keys. We had an issue with a taxi trying to take advantage of us and he immediately reassured me and told me, as he handed me a glass of the lovely sparkling tea, that it is nothing to worry about I should relax - he will have security talk to him.
We had a wonderful conversation where we learned about his journey to the Les Clefs d’Or with an introduction to the manager who had such a passion for his fields.
The decor! My goodness it was so fun to find the patterns and unique items and to hear the pride behind the symbolism from the staff.
We have stayed at other 5 star locations and never had this level of personal service and friendliness.
There is a sincerity that can’t be feigned and it made our trip. We ended up staying in the hotel more than we anticipated as we just enjoyed it so much.
Even checkout was delightful.
We are already planning our return.

This hotel was fantastic! The staff were so welcoming and we felt very comfortable here. We'd especially like to give a shout-out to the concierge and front desk team as they were amazing! There is a small very clean hammam in the basement which we enjoyed. The breakfast was excellent as well. Our room overlooked the beautiful courtyard and we enjoyed sitting on the tiny terrace and listening to the birds in the mornings. The location is good - it is on the quieter side of the river (Buda) but it was easy to get to the Pest side and the river views from the hotel side were gorgeous as it sits almost directly across from the well-lit parliament building.

On arrival we were met by reception team who were very welcoming. Throughout our stay the staff were so helpful, cheerful without exception. Rooms were very clean, bed linen fresh and beds were so comfortable. Nice toiletries and shower. We received an upgrade to a room with balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard. It is an excellent location on the quieter Bud side but within 2 to 3 mis walk of the tram stop to get to wherever you want to go.

The staff was amazing from the time we got out of the taxi. Super hospitable, making you feel like you are part of the family, and the pampering was insane. The hotel is drop dead gorgeous with all the amenities you could ask for: beautiful breakfast spread made for a Queen, roof top bar, jacuzzi, gym, restaurant and neighboring restaurants and night life. This a hidden gem for sure. Definitely already planning my trip.

This is a beautiful and elegant hotel with all the amenities and more. The staff makes you feel extremely important, from the moment you walk through the door. The service is probably one of the best, if not the best, of any hotel I have ever traveled to throughout the world.
