£129—Cornwall: 2-night apartment stay near Land’s End
Close to the Penwith Heritage Coast, with Land's End just five minutes' drive away, The Saddle and Stablerooms make a great base for a self-catering break to Cornwall. A 2-night coastal retreat this autumn and winter is £129, with options to extend your break to up to five nights.
"We have stayed at stable rooms before and return every year as we love the area and the cosyness of the apartment. Perfect for walks and beaches nearby."
The Saddle and Stablerooms are stables converted into three studios, each with a king-sized bed, a kitchenette, and an outdoor patio area. Rustic accents feature in each room’s décor such as quotes painted on the wall that nod to the building’s equestrian heritage.
The First & Last Inn is a country pub next to the property. Built around 700 years ago, the inn had the notorious reputation of being a hideout for smugglers and wreckers. Indulge in some hearty pub fare and kick back with a locally brewed Cornish ale here.
Land's End—the westernmost point of mainland England—is less than five minutes' drive from the property.
Enys Dodnan Arch—a rock formation similar to Durdle Door in Dorset—is a 15-minute walk from Land’s End, following the South West Coast Path southward to Pordenack Point.
Sennen Cove and Sennen beach are around five minutes' drive north from the property.
The pretty village of Porthcurno, home to the open-air Minack Theatre and "arguably the county's most beautiful bay" (The Daily Telegraph) is around 15 minutes' drive away.

Just a little bit too remote. Only two places to eat and drink within walking distance.

The post code given was that of the lands end hotel not the stable rooms at The First and Last pub.On enquiring at hotel the receptionist was patronising and rude and said we should of checked we had right postcode before putting into Sat nav.Hotel is 7AA...pub is 7AD.

The saddle and stable rooms are nowhere near the lands end hotel, about a mile away and in the car park of the first and last inn pub. The room was really clean but there was nothing around apart from the pub which was pretty expensive.

Room was nice and clean. Kitchenette was basically a toaster and microwave. Eating out a must

Room very good but could do with a few more coat hangers ( minor point) . Sadly the food in the First and Last Pub next door was disappointing compared to previous visits and would have been nice if the fires had been lit in the pub as it was a bit cold and would have made it more welcoming and cosy

Lovely room, very spacious and extremely clean. Best shower ever! Located right next to the First and Last Inn, about a mile (20 minute walk) from both Sennen Cove and Lands End. Beautiful walk between those two places. Only one minor issue - accommodation websites say toiletries are provided, but they are not, so make sure you take your own. We will definitely go back!

We were expecting to stay adjacent to the Hotel, Not half a mile away. Unknown to us the Hotel was closed making communication difficult. I found the room very claustrophobic,The room is probably ideal for a one night stop over not a five night stay...it’s not equipped for self catering .

SADDLE 3 - The battery in TV remote needed replacing. No hand wash. Disabled toilet but unable to use the shower as no grab rails. Kettle on high shelf very dangerous so had to move it next to microwave.

We arrived late at night and were unaware the rooms were a mile from the hotel at the Frist and Last Inn. Once there the room was good value, cleaning left a little to be desired (the skirting boards had clearly not been wiped over for a long time, the floor was gritty underfoot). The pub next door was excellent and very helpful. It is a great base for walking and visiting beaches and many places of interest.

On arrival the floor was covered in sandy grit with no provision to sweep it. One set of towels for 2 adults. It said tea and coffee was provided but only fruit style tea not traditional tea and no decaf coffee. I asked in the pub and then ended up driving to the Lands End hotel to sort tea and towels
Other Comments
Why had the floor not been cleaned before our arrival! Why was the towel situation not checked?
