Why We Love This Hotel

  • The property features in The Times's list of the 50 Best Places to Stay in the UK for 2026. It opened in December 2025 and occupies three Georgian townhouses.
  • The British Museum is less than five minutes' walk away. Its permanent collection of over eight million pieces is the largest in the world.
  • Built around secluded squares and grand townhouse terraces, Bloomsbury is one of central London's most peaceful areas. In the early 20th century, it was home to the Bloomsbury Set. This literary group included Virginia Woolf, EM Forster, and philosopher Bertrand Russell, after whom the hotel is named.
  • Bedrooms feature heritage fixtures such as original cornicing and marble fireplaces. Rooms also include smart lighting and Smeg fridges.
  • Ottie's Salon has a "cosy parlour-cum-speakeasy ambience", says Condé Nast Traveller. It serves a range of cocktails and a bar menu of snacks and light bites. There's also an atmospheric cigar terrace.
  • Oxford Street is 10 minutes' walk away. Covent Garden and the theatres of the West End are around 15 minutes' walk. The area is served by stations including Euston, King's Cross, and Tottenham Court Road.
