Floating in a prime spot on the Thames, Good Hotel London offers water views across Royal Victoria Dock. The decor is minimalist and spaces are thoughtfully designed. Why We Love This Hotel
- Originally built as a Dutch jail barge, the Good Hotel sailed across the North Sea. In 2016, it moored at East London’s Royal Victoria Dock.
- Guestrooms are compact with a smart use of available space. The Condé Nast Traveller describes them as having a "hotel-meets-cruise-ship vibe".
- This social business was established upon a "sleep good, do good ethos". Profits are channelled towards children's education in South America and hospitality training for long-term unemployed locals.
- With a focus on fostering community, there are large communal spaces at Good Hotel. The sustainable restaurant serves vegetarian and vegan dishes, while the bar serves locally brewed beers. In spring and summer, the rooftop terrace is open to enjoy the best riverside views.
- The hotel is next to the IFS Cloud Cable Car. It connects the Royal Docks to the Greenwich Peninsula and The O2 across the river.

Interesting location on Royal Victoria Dock, with redundant cranes to provide atmosphere. Elizabeth Line close, and gets into central London quickly. Docklands Light Railway even closer, and more scenic. Plenty of shops and eating places around. Staff friendly and courteous, and attractive dining / bar area. We were supposed to have a free ticket for the cable car, but it was not working, so we got a room upgrade and free drink. Room quite spacious, though some are smaller. A few coat hangers. Plenty of tea and coffee. Well designed compact bathroom. Good lighting.

Not a conventional hotel! You need to be adaptable. Lovely stories abut links with schools in Guatemala.

love the story behind this hotel, facilities have been used to the best ability and would love to go back in the warmer weather, just a shame there is not much around the hotel to do

hotel receptionist was great unfortunately didn't get his name, but was very good and very friendly, a little disappointed with the service charge for every drink bought to the table

It was a lovely hotel with compact rooms. It was really clean and the staff were really lovely and even helped us with a free room upgrade and recommendations for dinner. The only downside was the shower in the bathroom did not have a basin and so some of the water flowed under the door onto the bathroom floor (soaking up the floor mat provided). Other than that, the rooms have lovely water views, the hotel has great spaces dotted around the hotel lobby and it's conveniently located.
