Lodge rooms are in the hotel grounds, separate from the main building, with dedicated parking bays. Superior and Deluxe Lodges have French doors leading out to private patios with seating. Bathrooms in Deluxe Double Lodges include a freestanding bath.
Guests get complimentary access to the hotel's leisure facilities. This includes a gym and a swimming pool.
The Waterloo Hotel is 10 minutes' stroll from the centre of Betws-y-Coed. The village is set in Eryri (Snowdonia)—Wales's largest national park. This makes it a popular point from which to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
Conwy, a Medieval walled town home to a 13th-century castle, is 30 minutes' drive away. The bus takes around 50 minutes, and stops right outside the hotel.
Portmeirion is an Italian-style village that Lonely Planet calls a "weird and wonderful seaside utopia". It's around 40 minutes' drive from the hotel.

Everything about the Waterloo was brilliant. The lodges were perfect for us and the dog, the food was great, the location gorgeous and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming here again.

The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area of north Wales . Rooms could do with a little bit of modernising but housekeeping was excellent . Breakfast was delicious with excellent waiting staff . Meals and bar prices were more pricey than local establishments so did not eat evening meals and ate out at the local restaurants where prices were a lot cheaper . But would definitely book again .

Superior lodge room was in need of some investment, a little tired to say the least. Food was good enjoyed the Welsh breakfast very much, choice was limited but none the less enjoyable, ate in the hotel in the evening and enjoyed my choices. Spa and pool was nice and enjoyable. Would revisit.

The room was very tired and dated. We asked for a room with a stand-alone shower and were told we would have an accessible room. This obviously had not been updated for many years. It also had a musty smell, in spit of the fact that the bathroom window did not close properly and there was a draught. We felt it had not been used for some time.

Lovely welcoming staff who allowed us to leave the car in the car park until our check in time.
Great location only a short walk to the shops and many eateries in Betws.
Room was dated but clean and perfectly fine for our stay with everything we needed. Great we could park the car outside the room door.
Spa facilities were perfectly adequate and a nice bonus to the stay, especially as there were not too many people using the facilities during our stay.
Great night’s sleep with quiet room.
Fantastic breakfast served by a lovely friendly lady. Home cooked, hot food, locally sourced.

Brilliant time ,staff really good, breakfast was exceptional just as I would have cooked myself, even spoke to the chef.
Only downside was main menu a bit limited but if that was the only thing then? Village is 10 mins walk away with lots of choice , have told friends about this place and know they will book ASAP . Staff been so helpful with explaining walks and everything else one of the best we have booked .

Had couple of days away with friends. Hotel is amazing - stayed in a superior chalet room which was lovely. Own front door and french doors out into the garden. Very spacious, warm, clean, immaculately decorated, loved everything about it. Excellent breakfast, extremely helpful and very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Felt very welcome and valued.

From booking through to arrival, communication was very good. All the staff at the hotel were extremely professional, attentive and friendly, from reception, to the bar and restaurant staff, as well as at the leisure facilities.
It looks as if some rooms are being renovated now too, though our Courtyard Superior Room was warm, clean and comfortable, it is getting ready for an update, though that is not a complaint and we'd happily stay again!

Loved it. Great staff, rooms, spa and gym was what we needed. The dog was more than welcome and was made to feel part of the experience. Not far from Snowdon and situated in a nice town. We would stop again and the value for money was brilliant.

Although the room was clean, upon entry it had a musky smell. The carpets were a little dated and would look much better if they were replaced. Would have been useful to have atleast one USB in wall socket. Everything else was good. Friendly and welcoming staff.
