We really like staying at the Sir Christopher Wren as it's in a great location. On previous visits, we have found the staff to be very efficient and friendly. During our stay this time, there was an issue with the bar service which was eventually resolved. We will be returning again.

There were 6 of us; all over 70. Our rooms were on the third floor and only access to it was by 3 flight of stairs. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WARNED ABOUT THIS WHEN WE DID OUR BOOKING. THIS IS NOT AT ALL ACCEPTABLE.
The check in and check out was symbolic. It took 15 minutes.
And with regards to booking a car parking space; whilst booking it was straight forward, the hotel procedure was just simply farcical. We had to pay £15 CASH to the hotel despite having booked it by credit card; we were assured it would be refunded when we check out and this they did do. But why all this nonsense!!!!

Amazed to be allowed into our room earlier than 3pm. Beautiful hotel and furnishings. Friendly, helpful staff and our food was excellent. Our server in the restaurant was very good too.
Think it would have been expensive if we hadn't been able to take advantage of the Travel Zoo offer!!

Receptionist unhelpful attitude when hanging luggage had not been taken to our room. Receptionist would not accept the hanging luggage was not in our room, and even sent a porter to look in the wardrobe! 40 mins later our hanging luggage arrived , just before we were going to change for dinner.

We had a superstar at the hotel, we booked the Travelzoo tasting menu at Sindhu and the hotel stay as part of our mini honeymoon.
The views from the restaurant and the terrace were super we watched swans, geese, ducks and cormorants.

The hotel was lovely and in a great location right next to the river and a short walk from Windsor Castle. The staff were polite, professional and very helpful. Our evening meal and breakfast were both really lovely.
Our room was of a high standard and very spacious. One thing I would recommend to the hotel is to add a fold up suitcase stand in the room as it would be helpful.
To anyone driving to this hotel, I’d recommend using the car park next to the station as it’s much cheaper and you can park overnight in it (it’s a 5 minute walk from the hotel).
Overall a very enjoyable stay and if we’re coming this way again, we would definitely come back.

We received a very warm welcome and luggage was taken quickly to our room. All the staff were friendly and considerate and provided a warm ambiance. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. We had a separate bathroom with an overhead shower providing plenty of hot water. A bottle of complimentary water was given and facility for coffee, tea or flavored tea with biscuits. The hotel is positioned by the river and nearby a bridge takes you to Eton. The hotel is also near the Windsor castle being a short walk away. Boat rides along the river is a stone throw away. There are an abundance of swans, geese and ducks to view as a small court yard over looks the river. The food was excellent providing a great choice for your evening meal. Afternoon teas can also be arranged. Breakfast again a great choice of your traditional cooked, croissants, fruit and yogurts with ample coffee or tea provided. The staff were courteous and friendly and helpful. A great mini beak for visiting Windsor castle or the shopping area and easy accessible to get to London as the train station is on a very short distance away. All in all a wonderful experience - Thank you Sir Christopher Wren staff and travel zoo too

Handy hotel close to centre of Windsor. Parking is a five minute walk to the hotel. The dining staff were very good and our evening meal was nice and not too expensive. Our club room was clean and well appointed.

An excellent hotel in a convenient and quiet location overlooking the Thames but just a short walk from Windsor Castle and shops. Spacious Club room with very comfortable bed and many welcome extras. Buffet breakfast was plentiful with many options. Lovely views along the Thames from the Brasserie windows and from the Terrace. Friendly and efficient staff.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel rooms are not in a main building , the rooms are in separate buildings in the same road. Carpark is in the train station and a 5 minute walk. You are unlikely to get a space in their carpark.

Superb hotel in a lovely location. Perfect to access the central area of Windsor. No issue with parking (railway car park a very short distance away). Download the ringo app for a better price. Staff very friendly.

What a shame our visit was spoiled. Chosen specifically for the location with outside terrace overlooking the river being the USP, very disappointed to find it was closed for a private party. Hotel had opportunity to advise when checking availability, but didn’t. Reception staff apologetic but offered no compensatory gesture to mitigate our disappointment. Poor customer service on this point.

As a blind person going away to a strange place is a challenge. It was so lovely to go to a Hotel that appreciated the problems I have to face and it was so much more relaxing when they difference thing they could do to improve my stay. Thank you, this does not always happen.
The room was amazing, and the fish of the day was so good that I had it both nights.
The staff were friendly , but respectful.
Not many Hotels have two doorman to open the door for you and move your luggage.

Our train did not leave until 15.23, but they were more than happy to store our bags until then from the check out time.

Hotel was conveniently situated for all main attractions. Accommodation was excellent and the hospitality fulfilled our expectations.
Excellent breakfast which set us up for the day. Relaxed break which we would recommend. Off site car park is not a drawback to booking.

Very helpful and polite staff. The rooms are modern and contain tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge.
Location was ideal whether you wanted to go for a gentle stroll along the river or walk into town where there is a plethora of pubs and restaurants, and the castle of course! The hotels own brasserie supplies an excellent breakfast and good evening meals at a reasonable cost.

Car parking is located away from the hotel at the railway station which is about a 3 minute walk away. At the time of writing it costs £15 per night but it has to be renewed at mid-day which is a nuisance. It might be more convenient to pay for separate parking at the railway station.

Lovely quiet and relaxing hotel. Room was great every thing you could want. Only downside was the 4 ft 6 bed as we are used to King size. Also the pillows were quite lumpy and not very comfortable. Everything else was perfect. The food was good if a little expensive it reflected the location. Drinks also expensive. All staff were lovely very sociable and helpful.

We enjoyed a 2 night break here, which is in the centre of Windsor and ideally placed for visiting the castle. The reception team were welcoming and helpful on our arrival, nice room with very comfortable bed and pillows,. The dining area was light and spacious, serving excellent buffet breakfast and friendly staff were on hand. We took advantage of the Travelzoo deal which gave a £40 allowance on our evening dinner. Drinks were pricey but reflect London prices I guess, and there was a hefty 12.5 % (discretionary) surcharge added. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend break.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Windsor, booked parking and did not need to use our car the whole weekend. Excellent breakfast and staff very helpful and friendly. Brasserie food excellent and pleasant atmosphere.
Our room was very nice (we paid £40.00 extra for two nights to upgrade) with additional touches of bathrobes and slippers. Great location for walking around Windsor and visiting the castle which we could see from our hotel and lovely to sit with a view of the Thames at breakfast.

Overall a great stay in a wonderful town. Never been to Windsor before but i shall definitely be returning.
Hotel in great position for visiting Windsor Castle and may even get a train next time as close to the station.
Hotel rooms very well appointed with some well thought out touches, a light when you opened the wardrobe, lots of hooks in bathroom for used towels etc, fabulous rainfall shower. Great food, great service.

The hotel was very quiet so was very surprised that we were put in a room right at the top of the hotel where we had to climb a considerable amount of stairs (there was no lift). The room was very clean although quite tired. The room also could have taken a king size bed as it only had a double. I would stay here agsin but definitely in a different room with a bigger bed.

Lovely well kept hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were spotless. Only slight negative was the amount of stairs needed to reach our room, ok now but could be a problem when older as there are no lifts. We attended the Theatre Royal on one evn which is only a 100 yards or so away so all very convenient. All in all a very enjoyable two days.

From the moment we walked in we were treated with respect and friendliness. Checking in was really easy and quick and we were taken to our room rather than have to follow a complicated explanation. We were given really clear instructions about how to access all the facilities. Our room was in the building on the opposite side of the pedestrian street to the main house, it was large, really comfortable and warm. We were able to adjust the heating easily. The menu choice for food was a good spread of appetite and cost. There were also coat racks near the tables for the use of those crossing the street. The position is so convenient beside the river and next to the castle, the hotel car parking is a short walk along the road. Altogether we had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely hotel on the riverside. Very well appointed rooms but you have to be fit to climb the stairs of this older building! Not all rooms are in the main building though and only some rooms have river view. Really convenient for everything Windsor has to offer. Nice welcome when we arrived. Excellent dinner and breakfast in the Brasserie ( river view! )

Parking is the only downside. You have to book in advance for a space in (a roped off area specifically for the hotel ) the Riverside Station Car Park at a cost of £15 per day. It is a 5/10 min walk to the hotel and there are some uneven steps to navigate.
You have to call the hotel because the Travelzoo Reference number is not the same as the hotel’s ref no which you have to quote on the parking booking form!
You can’t stay past 12 noon in the parking so you have to move car to public space ( in the same car park though ) - another £10 ) .

Very comfortable room with plenty of space. Breakfast and dinner in the Brasserie were both very good. Nice public area to sit and relax in. Ideal location in the middle of Windsor, on the river. We were in the main part of the hotel on the first floor. Room was quiet and well equipped.

We stayed 3 nights and our room was in the main 16th century building.. it’s a lovely hotel and the food is really good quality though a little expensive for a lunch of soup and a sandwich coffee and a couple of drinks cost per head was similar to full evening meal elsewhere. Majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for all Windsor has to offer. Only negative for us was the constant mechanical hum noise in the room all through the night - we know this because we didn’t have a good nights sleep - we did mention to a receptionist after our first night but realised there wasn’t anything they could have done - our room was over the restaurant/kitchen area and was probably the air conditioning system.

It was absolutely wonderful. My husband booked it for my birthday as I wanted to see Windsor castle again . The hotel was situated near the station so we could park and the castle was within an easy walk close to th shops. It as decorated so beautifully so festive with mince pies on arrival and throughout the stay on reception . The rooms were just magical beautifully decorated and welcoming fires. The meal in the restaurant was perfect and the bedroom so clean and luxurious. I’d recommend it to anyone .

Lovely hotel in the perfect location for exploring Windsor and walks along the River. The staff were excellent very welcoming and friendly. The food in the Brasserie was great. Would definitely be happy to stay again. Just a very small point the heating/aircon in the room was a little noisy when trying to sleep.
