Hope you've fixed the leaking water from the toilet cistern in room 203 as you are losing many litres an hour! Costly onyour water bill!

Great location, lovely friendly staff, clean sheets and bedding. Spring sticking out of the bed mattress might indicate it needs changing. Some areas including our room a bit jaded and needing some redecoration and refurb.
Other Comments
Nice enough for a short stay but wouldn’t necessarily recommend eating here as so many places close by are better eateries. Lovely staff though and nice bar.

Position of hotel opposite train station and access to Bath brilliant, downside very noisy at night from traffic and revellers outside. Staff and food fantastic, downside rooms shabby, only 1 chair per bedroom and despite radiator turned off in room, room was way to hot.

The staff were lovely and breakfast was good.
Other Comments
Our room itself wasn’t bad but the view was depressing. The door looked as if it had been kicked in at the bottom and the windows were shabby. The hotel overall was ‘tired’. Patches in some of the carpet. Needed a bit of TLC.

A real pleasure to experience traditional hotel service and values. Yes, there were elements that appeared a bit tired but it's been there since 1847 and actually contributed to the ambience and experience. A lovely visit

The hotel is very old and they have made the best of the building which is obviously listed. We booked a superior room which was large with very high ceilings. Bed very comfortable but in this day and age you shouldn’t have to clamber into a bath with the shower over it. Not good as you get older. Restuarant food pretty good. Staff throughout were lovely especially Adele.
