I went with a friend. I think we had to have a room with disabled facilities for twin beds. Didn’t really like the bathroom or wet room we prefer a bath. We had to ask for our Prosecco which we expected to be in our room. Also the cream tea which was part of the deal. Parts of it a bit tired looking.
Other Comments
Drinks a bit expensive. Good central location with free parking. We didn’t dine there in the evening as we couldn’t fin things on the menu we fancied.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Falcon hotel, and Uppingham was a really lovely little market place. All the staff were really friendly and attentive.

Stains on bedding and mattress need attention, we stripped our bed to help cleaners and found the stains which made us feel a bit dirty.

Hotel ideally situated in the centre of of the village. Rooms adequate and staff exceptionally helpful. We stayed for two nights and dined at the hotel on the first night. The food was average hence we didn't eat there on the second night. Breakfast was ok but not great. The staff make this place special as they can't do enough for you. Would definitely recommend a visit though especially with the Travelzoo offer as this represents great value with the little extras included (Prosecco & cream tea). Give it a try as I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We were given an upgrade upon booking in, which had a lovely super king bed, the bathroom was enormous too with a clawed foot bath and double basin. Only downer was a too small dresser for putting personal items on as this was taken up by the kettle & beverage tray. Lovely atmosphere in the lounge bar area in the evenings. Would return .. the town’s shops and galleries were interesting too.
Other Comments
Bit of a gripe regarding the breakfast on our second morning as the service was very slow- it took 3/4 hour before we got to order our cooked breakfast and this only after we had had to prompt the waitress, who was rather surly. Also had to prompt staff about toast and tea.. Not good!

We enjoyed a relaxing two night stay, from initially parking on the hotel carpark and entering through the rear courtyard we felt at ease, the staff were so polite and kind engaging in pleasant conversation with many guests both residents and local. When the locals ladies use the facilities for a group chat over coffee and cake and elderly couples share a sundowner while walking their dogs it speaks volumes. It is a most pleasant venue!

A beautiful hotel with amazing staff- nothing was too much trouble.
There is a gorgeous terrace at the back of the hotel where we were able to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a drink or two. The food in the restaurant where we had our meals in the evening were tasty and good value for money. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever eaten too,
Our room had everything we could wish for; comfy bed, large walk in shower, huge bath, The White Company toiletries and Yorkshire Tea teabags!
Other Comments

A comfortable room, beautifully clean and well maintained. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely location in the village and good for visiting other places. Useful to have parking available. We ate over the road at Don Paddy’s and the food was plentiful and of a good quality but we were disappointed not to be able to enjoy Wednesday steak night as they had sold out before 7pm (unusual apparently, due to a large party preordering). Next time!
