About the hotels
Gem Fitzrovia Hotel stands in an area renowned for its bohemian literary connections. George Bernard Shaw, Virginia Woolf, and Arthur Rimbaud all called this district home. Constructed in 1911 on Bolsover Street, the building features a Georgian-style exterior and wood-panelled interiors.
Gem Langham Court Hotel is also situated in Fitzrovia. The hotel was once a nurses' home on Langham Street. It is housed in a Grade II-listed building with a striking black-and-white, glazed-brick facade. The retail delights of Oxford Street, exuberant West End, and eclectic Soho are all nearby. So too, Regent's Park and the British Museum.
Gem Strathmore Hotel is in South Kensington. A fully restored Victorian mansion, the hotel building was formerly the London residence of the Earl of Strathmore—the Great Grandfather of King Charles III. Located in Queen's Gate Gardens, the hotel is right by the Natural History Museum. The Royal Albert Hall, Knightsbridge, Harrods, and Hyde Park are all a short stroll away.
