The Hotel is situated on a main Road. The upside of this is the ease of getting around without your car, By Bus, Train and lake cruises. Lookout for the combination tickets on special offer on a Friday. The Hotel is a little dated but the Efficient and friendly staff are wonderful and nothing is to much trouble.

Situation is ideal for visiting the coast and Windermere area. The hotel was clean but looked tired, and needed to be upgraded. The evening meals were hot and good portions, but, it was the same menu each evening. The breakfasts could do with improving, there was just a choice of 4 cereals, or yogurt, it was only on the 3rd morning that mixed fruit was available. I asked on the first morning did they do porridge, I was told no, so other than a round of toast that was it. I don't normally have cooked breakfasts due to health issues. However, on the 3rd morning as I was finishing my breakfast, someone else asked for porridge and they weren't refused.

Restaurant food was amazing. Staff really friendly and helpful. Room was tired and in need if tlc. We also think the floor of the bedroom sloped and therefore also the bed and so sleeping wasn't brilliant. However, given the cost of the trip it was still value for money.
