Why We Love This Deal
The 5-star Goldsborough Hall "stands out among the historic halls that speckle the Yorkshire countryside" (The Daily Telegraph). Built in the 1600s, it was once the home of King Charles's great aunt. Why We Love This Hotel
- Princess Mary's family lived in Goldsborough Hall in the 1920s. It was also occupied by Oliver Cromwell's army during the English Civil War.
- The interiors are like "something out of a novel" (The Daily Telegraph). Rooms are richly decorated, and there's an oak staircase, carved fireplaces, and stained-glass windows.
- The Dining Room has three AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. "Excellent", "highlight of our stay", and "well worth it" is how some Travelzoo members have described their dining experience.
- The stately home is surrounded by award-winning gardens. They include a woodland walk, a glasshouse and kitchen garden, and the historic Lime Tree Walk.

Lovely stay overall, staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and always arrived hot and beautifully presented. We had a room in the Garden House.I was slightly taken aback when our room had been tidied on the second day, the bed looked as though it had been laid on, the towels hadn’t been tidied and I noticed the body lotion had been partially used by the previous occupant. It was a pity that we didn’t get the opportunity to take a look around the grounds as I’m sure they would have been impressive. The only reason I put that we wouldn’t return to GH is due to us having visited the area many times before. I would recommend staying there.

We treated ourselves to night at hall with Dinner with travelzoo. The food was delicious and service excellent. Room was comfortable but a bit tired and shower led to water all over floor!

The Hall is a beautiful building, full of rich history. It's elegantly furnished, Christmas decorations were particularly lovely. The atmosphere was calm and tranquil. We will visit during the spring/summer to take advantage of the ample grounds
