From the moment we checked we were treated to an above average experience. The staff were wonderful and helped us to our room. It was exeptionally hot (35C) and water was freely available in the bar and bedrooms. It was nice to sit in a shaded garden with ample comfortable seating. We ate all our meals alfresco, the breakfasts were great with a great choice of locally sourced food. Dinner was also very good with added specials like crab or lobster salad. Bar prices were very reasonable. Our bed was a super king and very comfortable, the bathroom worked well but we could have done with a grab rail to get out of the bath, having showered. People say we will be back!! We will next year.

Moorhill House is a lovely hotel in glorious surroundings. The garden and terrace were perfect for a hot couple of days, and eating breakfast outside was a real treat. The breakfast was excellent, and restaurant meals also very good. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - they genuinely want to engage with their guests and make their stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was perfectly adequate - our only quibble was that the bathroom was very cramped, with the sloping ceiling meaning that the mirror is to one side of the washbasin. That was a small issue though in comparison with the whole experience.

A lovely hotel with great staff. Very comfortable public areas and a pleasant outdoor space. The food was tasty and well presented. Evening meals were very good and the breakfasts provided everything needed. It was great to have cooked to order options. The cream tea as part of our package was very welcome. Our room was 'compact' but clean and well-provisioned. All the staff we encountered were outstanding and really helped to make our stay an enjoyable experience.

No aircon. Well it was the hotel May Bank Holiday so unusual temperatures. Book a table for dinner in advance as quite a lot of locals use the restaurant.
