Rooms a bit tired. We had a large room unfortunately next to the main road. Staff were very helpful and food was good.

Hotel was easy to find a warm welcome from reception staff ,an easy check in procedure .room ready when arrived room comfortable but view was over a roof full of solar panels ,as there were 8 of us in this booking most were overlooking the gardens which were better views.

Although dinner was served as Sunday lunch this was enjoyable but the breakfast was a little disappointing as you had to pre order eggs /black pudding or other items which normally would be there in other hotel meals

Not really.

Breakfast was disorganised and under staffed. Room was surely not an executive as was paid for. Worn carpets on staircase.

Very pleasant meeting up with friends there and having a lovely time.

Our stay was on a Sunday and we were totally unaware that there was a very limited Sunday menu in operation... so after looking at the menu in the room we were disappointed that our choices were not available. No Sunday menu was in the room.

Lovely hotel with charm except dining room.
Other Comments
Two huge tv screens in dining area which nobody was looking at and totally unnecessary but distracting.
Dining area very noisy mainly due to large family group with unruly children and adults on phones! Although they were in a separate area it needs to be screened off. Poor choice of background music - probably better with none.
Evening meal food average but good breakfast.

Very friendly staff. Delicious soup at lunchtime & good choice on the menu in the evening. Very good prices.
Excellent breakfast.

Only real criticism would be very slow service for two of the evening dinners and a rather limited breakfast. But considering the price we paid we don’t feel we cold complain!

Nice large clean room. All staff very friendly and helpful. Not given a 100% rating because of a very long delay with one of the evening meal s. Which we were told was due to lack of staff in the kitchen that night. However we did receive compensation for the delay.

Excellent all round. Great location for travelling the area i.e. Ironbridge. Superb food quality, choice and big portions!

There was some confusion (not just myself with other guests as well) re: Pool facilities? Some guests where expecting a pool? Some of the associated online marketing third party sites did include pis of a pool? The ppol has not been operating/open for 6 years (according to the staff).

Excellent value deal. Very comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, particularly in the restaurant. A little cold in some areas but it is a an old building. Perhaps a little tired in certain areas but didn’t really detract from the experience and certainly not at the price. Very good location as only a short stroll into the town. Plenty of parking.

Excellent welcome at reception with everything explained clearly. Friendly and engaging staff. Evening meals excellent and exceptional value for money! Ideally located close to all Shifnal pubs, restaurants and the towns facilities. Our second visit and we'll return for a third. All the locals are very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time!

Stains on the curtains. Broken glass in window. A lot of black mould on the inside of the sash window and filthy window glass. Appreciate it was an old sash window but they can be cleaned.
