Slaley Hall is a great base from which to explore the North Pennines. It is 30 minutes' drive from Northumberland National Park, as well. Soak up some history at Hadrian's Wall or Beamish—The Living Museum of the North. Or, take a stroll along Longsands beach. All are 50 minutes' drive away. 

A range of pampering treatments are offered for a fee at the onsite spa. Golfers can choose between two 18-hole championship golf courses. The Hunting course is "widely recognised as the top track in the north east" (Today's Golfer).

Dining options include three restaurants and two bars. We'd recommend a late-night tipple in the Whiskey Snug with its wingback chairs and coal fire.
