Why We Love This Hotel

  • There are almost 500 listed buildings in Ludlow. With its incredible Jacobean facade, the Feathers Hotel is among the most recognisable.
  • The property was built in the 17th century. It has feather motifs adorned on its exterior, a tribute to the Prince of Wales.
  • The Plume@Feathers restaurant has an AA Rosette.
  • Learn about the town's history at Ludlow Museum, Ludlow Castle, and St Laurence's Church. They are all approximately five minutes' walk from hotel.
  • The hotel is five minutes' drive from the borders of the Shropshire Hills National Landscape.

Although interesting this is an ancient building which could have access problems for people with mobility issues although I'm sure the Hotel would try to accommodate. Felt the shower room could do with some TLC ( much of the tile grouting on floor missing, loose and crumbling, paintwork needed refreshing, towel rails not working etc). Food and service of high quality - thanks- but relatively little choice on an expensive restaurant menu. Wine quality average on sub £30 bottles which we felt were also highly expensive for what they were. All told a very pleasant stay.

Using travel zoo we enjoyed our all inclusive stay. The staff were extremely helpful especially as we were delayed by roadworks. They made our stay very personal and enjoyable.

Old hotel but a bit tired needing attention. Had king room which was good size and comfortable bed with good size en suite. Had one evening meal which was disappointing and breakfast was average. Waiting staff didn’t seem very experienced and a bit lacking in customer service.

Great hotel in a central part of Ludlow which makes access easy to the shops, castle, train station, etc.... The hotel was as good as the last time we stayed.
