Room 109 (ground floor) was next to the path where guests were coming into the hotel which at times was causing a disturbance with loud conversations and the noise of suitcases being dragged along the concrete path outside our window

The hotel is very tired and needs decorating. Our first thought on arrival was 'old people's home'.
Other Comments
The staff are lovely and the food is very good. We loved the games room abd used it both days. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from York.
It just needs to be refurbished.
