On arrival we were asked if we needed help with our luggage. Very thoughtful attitude in this day and age. Our room, for dog owners, led out onto the gardens from a French door. Downside there were no windows! Parking is a premium as only a few spaces by the hotel. The Headland view is stunning.

Great food both at breakfast and the two or three course home cooked dinner with a menu that changed daily. Good coastal walks straight from the hotel.

We had a great short break at the Headland. All the staff were super helpful. The location is wonderful. It was incredibly good value - the room was comfortable but not fancy - we could have paid for an upgrade if we had wanted more

The location was delightful and our garden room was lovely. But, when we arrived there was no heating in the whole hotel as the previous week had been hot. It had actually been -3 degrees in Okehampton the night before our arrival. The food in the restaurant was really not good. The worst leek and potato soup I have ever eaten- chopped up leeks in hot water without potatoes. The rest of the meal was hugely expensive and pretty inedible. The spa also didn’t function and was basically just pools with warm water. Hot dry sauna was cold. The staff however were perfectly lovely and I felt they were really battling the odds.
Will definitely return to Torquay but will stay at the Premier Inn next time.

Easy booking in. Room was of a good size and clean. At breakfast we were spoilt for choice, self service full English or/and cereals and juices. Parking was an issue at lunchtime and evenings, we walked everywhere once parked so not an issue for us. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the food did look appealing. Over all a fantastic 2 night stay. Will definitely stay again as great value.

We had room 168 and the noise from an air conditioner below us did disturb our sleep.

Very nice hotel. The rear room we had was a bit dated but definitely worth it for the price. Car parking was difficult due to a lack of spaces available. I had a problem with a meal (Headland Burger) I had ordered but it was resolved to my satisfaction. The sun terrace was a nice place to relax and have a drink outside and the views were stunning.
