Having said we had to wait ages for our food when it did arrive it was very good.

The service was incredibly slow. There was only one other couple there while we were there so they were not exactly run off their feet! I had to ask twice for our wine which arrived AFTER my husband had finished his first course. The beef was supposed to be pink but definitely wasn't.
Also the place needed a good dusting; I told the man on the desk this so hopefully they'll pay attention.

Warm welcome from Reception, who suggested we have a drink in the bar while waiting. Waitress brought us menus and took our orders before we were due to go in. Got our table punctually, and food came fairly quickly. It was delicious: generous helpings and excellent quality. Staff friendly and courteous. We had a lovely view of the grounds. A very enjoyable experience.

I bought the voucher so I could take my friend for afternoon tea for her birthday It was quite difficult get a date on a Saturday because the hotel had functions booked We did enjoy it but it was quite plain I imagined that it would be not suchbasic afternoon tea fare which was a little disappointing

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent visit to your hotel and enjoyed our meal. Plenty of vegetables and no need for mash.
The starter was good, the gravy was excellent and the staff were lovely.

The beef was over cooked and had been standing, after carving, for some time , so the slices were curled up and a bit dry. Poor selection of vegetables - half a carrot and some carrot purée flavoured with horseradish (which my wife can’t stand!).

Had a lovely afternoon tea, staff all friendly and helpful. Super venue and we were very lucky as the weather was great in contrast to the washout day before! Obviously an old building with lots of original features like the stone flagged floors.

There was a choice of teas to choose from or the option of coffee. Super selection of tasty finger sandwiches, the smoked salmon being our favourite! Nice little selection of cakes and of course very tasty scones, one each of plain and fruited. When we finished we had a wander around the gardens. Bit sad to see the many different types of fruit trees not being utilised as they were laden with fruit. There was also a superb Medlar tree also loaded with fruit, which I was thrilled to see as never seen one before only heard or read about. This venue is well worth a visit and I think the surrounding village would be good to investigate too if you have more time.

It was extremely quite so no atmosphere at all. I understand the hotel had had a very busy weekend, but there was only one other table occupied. The staff were extremely helpful and could not have been more accommodating. I am sure the experience would have been more enjoyable if there had been more people in for tea.

The Manor Hotel would benefit greatly if it were to have some redecoration and upgrading. It is very tired although situated in such a lovely setting and a beautiful village.

After we were initially shown to our seats, the lady was very accommodating. After that nearly everyone we wanted something, we had to get up and go out into reception to ask to be served. It was very empty but the staff seemed to just forget we were even there. The afternoon tea was very disappointing. The sandwiches choice were OK but nothing exciting. The scones were hard and the cakes and scones all looked like they were shop bought.

Beautiful building and gardens, but although the dining room has a lovely outlook over the gardens it is very shabby. Tables are very worn and scratched. Chairs are cheap looking cushioned plastic in various colours.
We both ordered the roast beef, described as being served pink. We could see immediately that it was overdone and fatty. It was mostly impossible to cut into so at least half was inedible. The restaurant manager was very apologetic but admitted that as we had paid by the voucher there was no possibility of any compensation.

Ample Car Parking was easy at Stanton Manor which is in a village location . We were well received at Stanton Manor by reception and offered a choice of tables in the area of the main restaurant.

There was a huge celebration in progress off the main restaurant yet this did not impact on the high level of service .The food portions were enormous and of good quality and the Travel Zoo voucher offered excellent value
