I bought 2 vouchers, one for a friend's birthday, who has been and had a really enjoyable meal with her husband and one for me & another friend. We went last Saturday and had a very tasty meal. Staff were very friendly and knew all about the menu so could tell us anything we needed to know. We have been before on a voucher & will certainly look out for another one in the future

The pub is lovely and staff were fabulous but... unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. The steak and ale pie was pretty tasty but, aside from that, what sounded like wonderful flavour combinations on the menu didn't blend well on the plate. Portions were small and several items - croutons and rice crackers, for example - swam in oil to the extent of being wholly unpalatable. I'm not saying we didn't enjoy the experience as a whole, but our dog ended up eating a lot of the food and, for both of us, the delicious cappuccino was the best part of the meal. We went for lunch, but perhaps there's a more skilled chef in the evening. It was a shame, because we so wanted to love it and return.

We were greeted in a friendly way and shown straight to our table, both the fires were lit which was very welcoming. There was a good choice on the menu and the food was delicious and served by pleasant and efficient staff. We would definitely go back.

Had a delicious meal in a great pub. Great table sat right next to the woodburner and the staff were lovely. The only (very slight) negative was that they were quite difficult to contact to book.
