Why We Love This Deal
Set in Burnsall village, The Fell Hotel garners praise from Travelzoo members for its "great location", "fantastic staff", and "beautiful food". Explore Bolton Abbey and wander nearby woodland trails in the Yorkshire Dales. We found overnight stays in April for £145–£165 direct, but Travelzoo members pay less than £100 with this offer.
What's Included
- Valid Sunday–Thursday 1–30 April, 2026. Fridays and Saturdays are an extra £40 per night, payable direct to the hotel
- Overnight accommodation in a Cosy Double or a Comfortable Double room, with full Yorkshire breakfast, for two
- Access to the Bolton Abbey Estate
- Not available on 3–5, 20 April, 2026
More Reasons to Go
- The Fell Hotel, formerly the Devonshire Fell Hotel, is part of the Duke of Devonshire's 30,000-acre Bolton Abbey Estate. The property is in a "heart-tugging" location with "restful" guestrooms (The Daily Telegraph).
- The quintessential North Yorkshire village of Burnsall was used as a location in the film "Calendar Girls". The hotel overlooks the Five Arch Bridge, which spans the River Wharfe.
- Bolton Abbey is less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. It's home to the ruins of a 12th-century priory church. Walk through the Valley of Desolation and past Posforth Gill Falls for views from Simon's Seat.
- Brimham Rocks, a National Trust site in the Nidderdale Natural Landscape, is around 30 minutes' drive. Or you could drive to the market town of Pateley Bridge and walk from there. The scenic route takes around 90 minutes.

Fell as good as ever. We think they are short staffed both for room work and dining room. Only two staff serving the whole dining room and lounge at meal times

The hotel and staff were lovely but the room we had was very dark, brighter bed-side lights would have been better. We had a coffee machine which was difficult to operate. Surely, a sachet of instant coffee could have been as an alternative? When we were to pay for our drinks bill, on check-out, we knew there was a 5% service charge. However, it was disappointing that the hotel was going to charge us 5% extra for our Travelzoo payment, for housekeeping. When we challenged that, it was taken off the final bill.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone. The only issue was no omelette for breakfast. But, that was not an option on the menu, so I just accepted boiled eggs instead.
