  • Built in the 17th century, Cottage Lodge is an eco-friendly property with a rustic feel. It has low ceilings, wooden beams, and furniture made from locally sourced sustainable wood.
  • The property is in the pretty village of Brockenhurst in the New Forest National Park. There are plenty of walking trails nearby to follow.
  • For two-wheeled exploration, the bike-hire centre at Brockenhurst railway station is open year-round.
  • The centre of Brockenhurst is less than five minutes' walk away. It has a selection of cafés, tea rooms, and pubs to choose from.
  • Lymington, a famed yachting centre, is less than 15 minutes' drive from the hotel. You could also take the train there from Brockenhurst station.
  • Beaulieu and its Motor Museum are less than 20 minutes' drive away. You can follow the nearby riverside trail to Buckler's Hard. This historic Georgian shipbuilding village is set right on the river.

Excellent location within easy walking of the village and places for eating. New Forest walks from the hotel or a short drive. The Whitetails restaurant was excellent for an evening meal. The cake and tea on arrival was very welcome and staff very friendly and helpful.
