Sections of The Bath Hotel date back to the 1880s and it used to be, as the name implies, a bath house in the Victorian era.
Each of the hotel's 20 rooms and suites is unique in style and name. Stay in The Lazarette, The Bosun's Locker, The Botanist, or The Curiosity Room with this offer.
The hotel's bar, The Ancient Mariner, features an outside deck overlooking the harbour. Its one-of-a-kind art installations and curios are sure to catch your attention. There's a torpedo, a shoal of herring pavement painting, and a sculpture of an octopus.
Opened in 1890, the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway is a short walk away (closed for winter; reopening 16 February). Take the water-powered funicular up 500 feet for stunning coastal views and to reach Lynton.
Exmoor National Park has over 620 miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore. Minimal light pollution also makes the skies ideal for stargazing. It was designated Europe's first International Dark Sky Reserve in 2011.

All of the staff were very friendly, the food was great as was the location. The only downside is the difficulty in parking because of the popularity of Lynmouth. We went late October so it must be a nightmare in the high season.

Arriving at 6pm after a long journey, there was no one on reception and both the bar and restaurant were closed. We eventually spotted an envelope with our name on it on the reception desk. It contained a key and directions to our room. We didn’t see a single member of staff anywhere during our stay. The reception and bar were closed all the time and the restaurant only opened for breakfast which was served by a delightful young man. The whole place was dark and gloomy, like a morgue. Saying it is ‘quirky’ is just an excuse not to bother about its patrons.

Dated. Service slow and quality of food okay but not exceptional - breakfast was very very poor! Parking is a long way away. Steep stairs to rooms.

Really enjoyed our stay and the staff were helpful and very friendly.
Only thing that was a negative fir ys was the £40 charge for our well behaved small dog.
We thought we would have at least had some treats or a dog blanket for her. Fortunately we always take our own..

Had a lovely stay, amazing quirky hotel. Beautifully clean. Staff very helpful tho not fluent in English it wasn't a problem. Food very good but the hot breakfast was like warm and my toast was soggy on my Eggs Florentine. Fantastic massage too. Would recommend.
No substitutions. Seasonal items subject to change.
