Why We Love This Deal
Once a hunting lodge, The Wood Norton was a lavish country home for the exiled Duc d'Orleans. The Daily Telegraph says "its wood-panelled interior is remarkable, its grounds and views halcyon". Spend two nights for £269 and save £153 compared to the direct price.
What's Included
- Valid Sunday–Thursday 3 January–31 March, 2027
- Two nights' accommodation in a Hall Executive room, with daily full English breakfast, for two
- Price is per room, not per person
- £30 dining credit per person on the first night of stay
- Cream tea for two, once per stay (worth £11.95 per person)
- A welcome glass of sparkling wine each
- Not available on 31 January; 14 February; 15–18 March, 2027
More Reasons to Go
- The Grade II-listed site was the last home of Prince Philippe, a pretender to the throne of France. Given its remote location, it became a BBC broadcasting centre during WWII. It has a special connection with the "Doctor Who" franchise.
- The interiors include French features like intricate oak panelling and garden-facing window seats. The fleur-de-lys pattern has been used extensively throughout.
- Dine at the formal Fleur de Lys Brasserie with views of the nearby Bredon Hill. There are formal gardens to explore and a games room with a pool table.
- The market town of Evesham is 10 minutes' drive away. The Round Evesham Walk takes you past historic sites and along River Avon.
- The property lies between the Cotswolds and the Malvern Hills National Landscapes.

Overall OK because I was with friends & the meal with Glynn Purnell was good.
Th3 hotel was disappointing!

Disappointing ! We (3 of us paid to have a double room each) paid extra for room in the hall £20 per night, extra £20 for a session in the pool/spa we also paid for an extra night before the event .
We were originally allocated rooms overlooking the car park and asked to move to a room with a view over the lawns.
One of our party of 3 had a room with no hot water in shower for both nights!!
Whilst we enjoyed the special meal with Glynn Purnell the hotel was VERY disappointing!
We were allocated room on the top floor it was like being in the attic, even the decor and wall paper in the corridors was different to the rest of the hotel!
Rooms we were given over looked to car par we had to

It was also interesting to talk to the two representatives from travel zoo, who coincidentally were sitting next to us at dinner.

We chose to upgrade to a room in the house, which was beautiful. Dinner was really good, although I heard some diners complaining that allergens weren't obvious on the menu. Breakfast was a little disappointing, in particular the buffet. We'd expected something a little more extensive and more in keeping with the gourmet experience. The pastries, for example, were no different to what you'd see in a chain hotel. Parking is an issue and perhaps that could be made clearer at booknig.

Room was rather faded but clean. Reception rooms were delightful. The wind was up so the noise of the string wiping the flagpole was particularly irritating!

The meal was interesting and the chef talk was fun but as always with these events delayed.

Room not ready when we arrived, but no problem waiting on this.
Food very good & excellent that Glynn Purnell came out to do a Q & A afterwards, which was very interesting.

Our bedroom was very cold. A heater was brought up to us. When we went down to dinner, and returned the room again was stone cold, apart from the room everything else was good

Loverly old building in need of some attention. Excellent food in the restaurant but the dinning room decor was not quite on a par with the food.
