"This experience was well organised and exceptional value. The food was good quality well presented and tasted excellent.
The Q&A session with Glynn was very interesting and informative."
Chef Glynn Purnell is a familiar face on television, known for his appearances on "Saturday Kitchen" and "Great British Menu". His eponymous restaurant in Birmingham was awarded a Michelin star in 2008.
Hentony is a premium small-batch gin made in Evesham. The tasting will include a classic G&T and a full serve from their range.
The Grade II-listed site was the last home of Prince Philippe, a pretender to the throne of France. Given its remote location, it became a BBC broadcasting centre during WWII. It has a special connection with the "Doctor Who" franchise.
The interiors include French features like intricate oak panelling and garden-facing window seats. The fleur-de-lys pattern has been used extensively throughout.
The market town of Evesham is 10 minutes' drive away. The Round Evesham Walk takes you past historic sites and along River Avon.

Overall OK because I was with friends & the meal with Glynn Purnell was good.
Th3 hotel was disappointing!
Other Comments
Disappointing ! We (3 of us paid to have a double room each) paid extra for room in the hall £20 per night, extra £20 for a session in the pool/spa we also paid for an extra night before the event .
We were originally allocated rooms overlooking the car park and asked to move to a room with a view over the lawns.
One of our party of 3 had a room with no hot water in shower for both nights!!
Whilst we enjoyed the special meal with Glynn Purnell the hotel was VERY disappointing!
We were allocated room on the top floor it was like being in the attic, even the decor and wall paper in the corridors was different to the rest of the hotel!
Rooms we were given over looked to car par we had to

We chose to upgrade to a room in the house, which was beautiful. Dinner was really good, although I heard some diners complaining that allergens weren't obvious on the menu. Breakfast was a little disappointing, in particular the buffet. We'd expected something a little more extensive and more in keeping with the gourmet experience. The pastries, for example, were no different to what you'd see in a chain hotel. Parking is an issue and perhaps that could be made clearer at booknig.

Room was rather faded but clean. Reception rooms were delightful. The wind was up so the noise of the string wiping the flagpole was particularly irritating!

The meal was interesting and the chef talk was fun but as always with these events delayed.

Our bedroom was very cold. A heater was brought up to us. When we went down to dinner, and returned the room again was stone cold, apart from the room everything else was good

Loverly old building in need of some attention. Excellent food in the restaurant but the dinning room decor was not quite on a par with the food.

We enjoyed our time there. Found the bar decor not to our liking and also lacking in atmosphere .

The food was expensive but helped by the £60 credit. My mushroom risotto was tasteless. Not sure if this was the recipe or an omission in cooking?

I was such a beautiful hotel and restaurant, location and food great. The only thing I would say is difficult is if you are a wheelchair user and trying to access the site on your own, quite a steep incline to get the accessible room and then a door threshold to navigate, once you are in its fine and very comfortable. Luckily I was with my partner so I could have a lovely weekend.

We enjoyed our stay, accommodation fine, food good. We were disappointed that the swimming pool was found not to be a part of the hotel and there was a requirement to book a session and to pay an additional £40 for its use; a LOT for 30-40 mins swim!

We went on a Sunday when a wedding fayre was being held which we hadn’t known about. This gave us the opportunity to explore the bedrooms and suites which ordinarily we wouldn’t have been able to do. They are absolutely stunning and really whet the appetite for a future stay. It was great to see all the facilities that are available.

We would like to praise the friendly, efficient and professional staff that we encountered in all departments. They have clearly been trained very well and which stands out when by and large customer service these days are woeful in most industries.
Nothing was too much trouble and I was delighted that the kitchen agreed to cook fried bread for my breakfast instead of hash browns.
The choice of food for breakfast was outstanding and the quality of both the dinners and breakfast was superb.
We have nothing but praise for this hotel and it’s staff and look forward to returning soon.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The meals were very good and good value with our £30 pp allowance. The service at breakfast was disappointing though - only 2 staff with a restaurant full of guests - one more would have made a big difference.

The Wood Norton is an interesting old building with unique features and immaculate gardens. The staff are wonderful and the food is excellent.
There were noise issues because we ended up in a different room to the upgraded one confirmed by email at the time of booking. As the hotel was fully booked the first night we couldn’t be moved but the upgrade for the first night wasn’t charged and our reward was an enormous feature room on the first floor with wonderful views for the second night. Would love to return but would avoid rooms at the back of the house.
Other Comments
Noise issues from kitchen fans and generators at the back of the house need addressing.

Everything was great apart from the service in the restaurant at breakfast. Not the fault of the staff, who were friendly and helpful. There simply weren't enough of them for the number of guests and they were rushed off their feet. The food was very good.
