Why We Love This Deal
Once a hunting lodge, the Wood Norton was a lavish country home for the exiled Duc d'Orleans. The Daily Telegraph says "its wood-panelled interior is remarkable, its grounds and views halcyon". An overnight stay is £149 until March, saving 23–37% on the lowest price we found online.
What's Included
- Valid Sunday–Thursday 1 January–31 March, 2026. A £20 supplement applies on Fridays, payable direct to the hotel
- Overnight accommodation in a Hall Executive room, with full English breakfast, for two
- £30 dining credit per person
- Cream tea for two (worth £10.95 per person)
- Not available on Saturdays; 13 February; 9–13 March, 2026
More Reasons to Go
- The Grade II-listed site was the last home of Prince Philippe, a pretender to the throne of France. Given its remote location, it became a BBC broadcasting centre during WWII. It has a special connection with the "Doctor Who" franchise.
- The interiors include French features like intricate oak panelling and garden-facing window seats. The fleur-de-lys pattern has been used extensively throughout.
- Dine at the formal Fleur de Lys Brasserie with views of the nearby Bredon Hill. There are formal gardens to explore and a games room with a pool table.
- The market town of Evesham is 10 minutes' drive away. The Round Evesham Walk takes you past historic sites and along River Avon.
- The property lies between the Cotswolds and the Malvern Hills National Landscapes.
- Stuck for Christmas gift ideas? Give a dining, spa, activity, theatre, or hotel experience, and create a memory.

We went on a Sunday when a wedding fayre was being held which we hadn’t known about. This gave us the opportunity to explore the bedrooms and suites which ordinarily we wouldn’t have been able to do. They are absolutely stunning and really whet the appetite for a future stay. It was great to see all the facilities that are available.

We would like to praise the friendly, efficient and professional staff that we encountered in all departments. They have clearly been trained very well and which stands out when by and large customer service these days are woeful in most industries.
Nothing was too much trouble and I was delighted that the kitchen agreed to cook fried bread for my breakfast instead of hash browns.
The choice of food for breakfast was outstanding and the quality of both the dinners and breakfast was superb.
We have nothing but praise for this hotel and it’s staff and look forward to returning soon.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The meals were very good and good value with our £30 pp allowance. The service at breakfast was disappointing though - only 2 staff with a restaurant full of guests - one more would have made a big difference.

The Wood Norton is an interesting old building with unique features and immaculate gardens. The staff are wonderful and the food is excellent.
There were noise issues because we ended up in a different room to the upgraded one confirmed by email at the time of booking. As the hotel was fully booked the first night we couldn’t be moved but the upgrade for the first night wasn’t charged and our reward was an enormous feature room on the first floor with wonderful views for the second night. Would love to return but would avoid rooms at the back of the house.
Other Comments
Noise issues from kitchen fans and generators at the back of the house need addressing.

Everything was great apart from the service in the restaurant at breakfast. Not the fault of the staff, who were friendly and helpful. There simply weren't enough of them for the number of guests and they were rushed off their feet. The food was very good.
