Protected by two moats and a lake, Harvington Hall was once a safe house for English Catholics facing persecution during the reign of Elizabeth I. The concealed priest holes are still intact today. Take a look for yourself on a tour of the hall, which also features an impressive collection of Elizabethan paintings. Travelzoo members pay £8, saving 40% on the normal price.

"We had a wonderful day here, amazing place, great guides who were very knowledgeable and a very nice little tea room. Would definitely recommend a visit here"
Harvington Hall retains many of its original 16th-century features.
It's surrounded by a 13th-century moat. There is a coffee shop in the Malt House in the Hall's garden. You could also spot the friendly ducks and three resident kittens.
The Hall boasts more priest holes and Elizabethan wall paintings than any other house in England.
It has featured as a filming location for "Antiques Road Trip", "Escape to the Country", and more.
On the guided tour you can experience the Hall's rich history. Learn about the ingenious craftmanship of Nicholas Owen's priest holes and see the lengths people went in altering parts of their home to confuse priest hunters.

A unique and lovely quirky house. Most priests hides and Elizabeth and Wall paintings in the UK. A guided tour is a 'must' otherwise you would miss so much
