Me & a friend had a voucher & decided to revisit after our last gorgeous meal here. Arriving at midday when we'd booked, the server (I didn't get her name) greeted us & showed us to our table and explained the format given that we had a voucher. She was lovely even though she was extremely busy dealing with everything front of house. Our order was taken & food arrived a little later, to say the food was gorgeous is an understatement, it was beautifully presented, obviously very freshly cooked & was sumptuous. My friend had Thai fish cake followed by rump of lamb, I had goats cheese mousse & beef wellington. It is certainly worth the 40 mile trip to go & eat here. We did manage to speak to the chef & express our gratitude & appreciation on his cooking.

Ambience is comfortable, the server was doing a great job even under a lot of pressure, still managing to have a light hearted joke & keep a smile on her face, well done her.

Using the £39 travelzoo voucher was excellent value for money with the option to pay the difference on higher priced menu options. The table booking process was easy and on the evening of our visit all the staff were friendly.

Whilst we enjoyed the food which was excellent, as were all the staff and service. However, we felt the window table was uncomfortable for four people, made worse by the very noisy group of what appeared to be locals, including children running around, which spoilt our enjoyment during the first hour or so.
