This country inn uses seasonal ingredients to create its menu. Dishes are made with fresh produce and locally sourced meat from butchers across the Southwest.
It's just five minutes' drive away from the picturesque village of Castle Combe. A number of movies, including "Dr Dolittle" and Steven Spielberg's "War Horse", were filmed there.

Having coeliac disease I am very impressed with the menu as it clearly states “gluten free” and “gluten free options” which are varied and delicious. Staff are always helpful with this. Full marks to the chef.

The style and quality of food has improved notably since our last visit. Be prepared to pay the little extra for dishes above the offer price. Ours were excellent. Only issue was s that some 78 year old ladies do not like being calked "guys". It may be modern parlance but not the best customer relations.

The only downside to the Travelzoo Menu at the Old House at Home was that if offered a limited choice of two courses Starter and Main. + Coffee for 2 which is good value However despite the sweet being offered at a lower cost than the starter Theres was not any flexibility eg switching a starter for a sweet.

The Main course Fish & Chips at £22 is inconsistent in both size quality and the volume of Batter used is variable depending which Chef is cooking it and can resemble bait smothered in heavy batter and not healthy
On this last trip I asked if the chef could go cook the haddock with a light batter
and on this occasion it was cooked to my liking

Warmly greeted on arrival and shown to a table near the roaring log fire. Appreciated on a wet and cold day. Also our guests first experience of Travelzoo.
Good choice of food and drink. Most dishes were slightly more expensive than allowed for using Travelzoo voucher, but nothing too drastic.
Menu very different from normal pub/restaurant food.
Food well presented, colourful and tasty.
Definitely recommended.

We had a Travelzoo voucher to eat here and decided to stay the night as well. We had a wonderful stay as the pub is gorgeous, exactly what you would expect to find in a Cotswolds village. The staff here are exceptional and the food is superb and if you end up doing as we did and booking to stay the night then the breakfast are very good too.

We upgrades from pub classics to mains with one of us having a duck breast dish & the other a chicken breast dish. Although they read very differently in terms of the veg & jus, they were basically the same bit with the different meat. So we felt we were missold.

Another good lunch at the. Old House at Home. Nice fire burning, swift service of two courses, very well presented. Bread and olives small(?) starter more than enough for two sharing. Pleasant chat with the server and Connor (the owner) .

We’ve been several times before. The food is simply outstanding. There aren’t many choices to keep within the voucher total of £39 but we don’t mind that at all. The extra is so well worth it. This humble inn does such absolutely fantastic food. We have yet another voucher to spend!

Wonderful Menu and incredible presentation of meals, although serving starters on slates instead of plates is not a great idea! Quality of food is excellent except the sirloin steaks can be a a little too grisly.
