The hotel and buildings were in a very nice setting.

Access to the hotel was down an unmade, muddy, potholed narrow track (too dirty to walk down without wellingtons) The evening menu wasn't changed and the cost was excessive for what you had. The restaurant was cold. We departed after two nights for a three night stay that was booked.

A lovely country hotel, we had a large bedroom and bathroom, compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The dinner in the hotel was really delicious, the staff were very courteous and friendly. A good find with plenty to see within an hour’s drive.

Good breakfast. The TV in the room could have been larger and it would have been useful to be provided with details of a local vet when staying with a dog.

A most enjoyable short stay. The hotel is a converted farmhouse in secluded gardens but within easy walking distance of Oulton Broad. The staff were very welcoming and their local knowledge proved most valuable in locating an EV charging point.

Access is down a narrow unmade road.

Needs a few tweaks but a lovely setting and very peaceful. Have the feeling that hotel have cut staff levels to minimum. But the staff work hard and are very helpful.

Had a few hiccups. E.g. carpet wet near bathroom door on arrival (we used towels pressed down into carpet to dry this in first 24 hours) TV had poor
signal (thanks for solving this). Shower luke warm, seems to be connected to limiter on temperature as bath tap nice and hot. Worst problem was alarm going off at 12.20. Broke up a much needed sleep. An apology the next morning from hotel would have been nice.
A wonderful hotel, great situation, lovely room, needs a few tweaks to be 100%

Lovely surroundings and room friendly staff. Heating issues when arrived but provided blow heaters. Fire alarm went off in night and no hot water in the morning. TV programs did not work properly. Restaurant service slow, 4 covers took 2hours but food good. Late departing breakfast desperately slow. 45mins to bring bowl of fruit out and almost hour to get my porridge which was sent back as stone cold, really salty and under cooked. Have up on breakfast. No one on duty in hotel who could deal with complaints Shame as lovely hotel and grounds

This is a lovely location well positioned for boat trips on Oulton Broad and days out to Southwold and Aldeburgh. The staff are friendly, and rush to put things right if ever they go wrong (like a power cut on our last visit). Sunday night roast beef meal is to die for!

All the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and polite. The food was absolutely delicious; well done to the chefs! Our room was large with plenty of room for our dog and adjacent to acres of grass for exercise and convenience. The “Dog Box” in the room included bowls for feeding and water, poo bags, treats and a map of walks … what a great idea. We were warm and comfortable and look forward to another visit!

Lovely location, staff very help full and friendly and good food. Accommodation was disappointing but comfortable. The bathroom was very tired and the wash basin was cracked, not really what you expect when you're paying a decent amount for your stay. Could certainly do with a refresh.

The room was small with on suit that was like a corridor. The shower didn't function properly, it was horrible one minute cold the next, it was so hot attires you could not stand under it. I reported itto receptionist, when i spoke to her latter on she said the cleaner said it was ok. I asked how long she run it for, she said maybe i should have ajusted it. I told her i was not stupid and new this but on doing this it did not make any difference. The bedding had seen better days. We also had to wait for over an hour for our meal, even though we asked several times where it was. There was also some very large potholes on the private access road.

We had been told by friends who had stayed at The Ivy House that the food was good and they enjoyed their stay so it was no surprise to find a very comfortable room, very friendly and efficient staff and excellent food. A bonus was to have a perfectly grilled local kipper on the bone for breakfast! Had it been fillets I wouldn’t have bothered. Wish them all great success and intend to return. A lovely area and so quiet.

We have stayed at the hotel on three previous occasions and have enjoyed our stay on each of the visits. This time the level of customer service was absolutely awful. The hotel was understaffed and those staff that were working, particularly the young lady who was the so called deputy manager, were rude, robotic and had very poor interpersonal skills. The poor service delivery really made our stay at a fabulous hotel extremely disappointing. To be honest the staff and management changes feel like ill conceived cost saving measures. Also, on one of the days house keeping failed to make up our room

The rooms would stop me going again the bed was very hard and uncomfortable noise from the room above was very loud although not the occupants fault just that footsteps and voices sounded like they were in the room with us. The room while clean could do with a revamp and new carpets. The shower is something i won't forget in a hurry cold to scalding in 20 seconds with not much comfort inbetween.

Lovely location especially as a wedding event. The food from the kitchen was top notch, we ate here both nights. Whilst our room was spacious, it was outdated & needs attention (mattress knackered, tiny TV with faulty controls, bathroom sink needs repair) reception very friendly & understanding & gave what help they could.
