There are just over 100 open steps to climb so flat, sensible fully enclosed shoes must be worn (no open toes or sandals). You may not be allowed to go on certain parts of the tour if your footwear is not suitable. Unfortunately the brewery tour itself is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or children under the age of 12 (this includes babes in arms) as there are many steep stairs to negotiate. The Visitor Centre, Brewery Shop, Malthouse Kitchen and Museum, however, are easily accessible for both. It is not a safe environment for babies or children 12 and under. Pushchairs or prams not allowed on the tour. Young adults over 12 are permitted but they must be accompanied by an adult.
