"This was our second visit via Travelzoo and we liked it as much as the first. It's clean, comfortabe, excellent food available in the restaurant and a great breakfast thrown in. The staff are friendly and helpfful, and the Hotel is well placed for touring the Lakes by car. I wouldn't recommend it without a car, it is a bit out off the way, and thus very quiet and peaceful. we hope to go back sometime."

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Clean bedding and towels. Great cooked breakfast. Great view to Workington and sea. It could be a fantastic venue if everything setup right.

Hotel a bit run down. Car park is a messy ground. Very poor wifi hit and missed. Squeaky floor. Shower gel dispenser inadequate. Mattress very spring squeaky. Extracting fan not working caused a lot mold around shower and window in our bathroom.

Lovely relaxing break with friends. First impressions were very favourable despite the prior knowledge that Hunday was undergoing renovation work. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the breakfast could not be faulted. The rooms were well appointed as well as clean and comfortable.

Special mention must go to Barry, a gregarious and informative chap, who checked us in. His knowledge of the surrounding areas could not better for a group visiting this area for the first time. Also to Pete, the Night Manager. Nothing was too much trouble for him and every request was carried out with a smile. His rapport with guests was beyond compare. Both were immaculate in dress and professional in outlook, as well as being an asset to the hotel.
