Why We Love This Deal
Riverdale Hall Hotel sits on the boundaries of the vast landscapes of Northumberland National Park. Room-only stays aren't usually available to book, but we've negotiated a 2-night room-only break for £89. A 2-night stay with breakfast is usually £316—so this offer is packed with value.
What's Included
Valid Sunday–Thursday 1 November, 2026–28 February, 2027. It's £10 more per stay for arrivals on Friday or Saturday, payable direct to the hotel
A 2-night stay for two people in a Standard or Superior Room, subject to availability upon arrival. This is on a room-only basis*.
Use of the leisure facilities
Not available on 6–7, 13–14, 20–21, 28 November; 12, 21–31 December, 2026; 1–2 January; 12–16 February; 26–27 February, 2027
*Should members wish, the option to add a full English breakfast is available at the hotel and at a supplement of £13.50 per person, per day (payable direct)
"The hotel and staff were amazing. It's a little way to get to places like Banburgh and Amble but the main reason for the booking was to have a restful stay in a beautiful hotel, in a lovely location with exemplary staff. Our expectations were exceeded. We will definitely go back."
The Riverdale Hall Hotel is on the outskirts of Bellingham, a small market town that’s a well-known stop on the Pennine Way.

Kielder Water and Forest Park is home to Northern Europe's biggest artificial lake. Tread the Lakeside Way and look out for the contemporary, open-air art installations dotted along the way. The visitor centre is less than 30 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The Northumberland International Dark Sky Park is the largest area of protected night sky in Europe and perfect for stargazing. The Kielder Observatory runs expert-led events and is 30 minutes' drive from the hotel.

Excellent Offer. We were happy with it but it was a little tired in parts particularly swimming pool so might not recommend . Definitely would go back again on that offer as we don’t like the whole Bb and evening meal

Thoroughly enjoyed it though I felt that much of the hotel needed a bit of maintenance!

Loved our room but felt it could have done with some attention. Only 1 bedside lamp. A rumpled rubber mat at the patio doors! x

Superbly located for both Kielder and Hadrians Wall . Everything was lovely except the food was average. We had no trouble finding alternative places to eat for both breakfast and evening meals as Bellingham has ample eateries
Other Comments
They really over exaggerated the quality of the restaurant food on the website, showing a sample menu from their heydays when top chefs ran the kitchens . Probably best to show an up to date menu and then guest’s would not be so disappointed.

The hotel is a bit dated but very historic. My room was well equipped and comfortable, the only drawback was people parking right outside my window especially a big van which obscured my view and light. I had t keep my curtains drawn, as it made me feel vulnerable

I would stay there again but in a different room

Room (including bathroom) dated but large and clean - shower good but with a curtain... Kitchen/food excellent - both breakfast and evening, but let down by front of house lacking in appearance, direction and confidence. Bar area drab and at times chaotic - felt like a working men's club - same issue with staff. Reception areas tatty and uninviting. Location very good which makes it all the more of a shame that the hotel isn't living up to its potential.

We booked a short break with our dog. The hotel is really dog friendly and our room looked out over the gardens and river with a small terrace so we could open the patio doors and let our dog out into the gardens for a walk, run and play.
We had food in the bar which is also dog friendly. The food was delicious and very good value.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and came home relaxed after a lovely break.

All staff lovely and helpful, location couldn't be better. Food excellent. A bit worried that the place was practically empty over the Easter weekend. Are people getting too used to flashy corporate hotels and don't consider nice little spots like this?

We had a small hiccup at the beginning when I tried to book with my voucher as they had been very busy with voucher bookings and said they weren't taking any more... but it was soon sorted and I felt perhaps that 2as just a training issue regarding availability and which rooms. Using the voucher made it good value
