Very good quality food for both breakfast and dinner. Room was excellent with a bath and shower water red hot which some hotels turn the temperature of the water down to save money

My friend and I had an amazing time at Hellidon hotel and resort. It was a lovely hotel, the spa was small but well equipped. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and well cooked, We had a lovely view of the lake from our room, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. In terms of value for money, it was incredible.

As they weren't very busy, it would have been nice to have a room overlooking the lake rather than the courtyard. Also, the heating was not on in the room, so very chilly and as it wasn't very powerful, it did take quite some time to warm up! Not helped by the fact that the heater is behind the curtains, so either have to leave them open, or keep the heat behind! It'd be nice if the room were a little warmed up for our arrival....

Food was disappointing. Not many people at the hotel whist we were there and hot foods at breakfast had been kept warm for too long and were dry. Evening meals - huge portions, but vegetables were barely warm and chicken was tough. Presentation was messy and sauce overpowering with peppercorns. Still edible though.

Excellent but challenging golf course. Definitely recommend a buggy - long and hilly. Thermal experience excellent. Nice to have a bowling alley as well. Overall recommend the facilities and cleanliness of the hotel

We have visited Hellidon Lakes before and booked for my cousin and his wife’s wedding anniversary. They both thoroughly enjoyed their stay and also the massage that they booked in the Spa. All interaction with staff was friendly, however we mainly interacted with Marion on reception, and she is professional, but also warm, friendly and helpful. We would definitely return again.
