Absolutely loved the scenery. Had to go out on diesel but we were able to return on steam and that's what we really enjoy.

Very scenic steam train ride from Pickering to Whitby. Refreshments available too. We got the early train so we had time for lunch & a walk around Whitby.

Whilst we appreciate it is a voluntary organisation the cost of membership &
tickets is no longer affordable for many & disappointed there are NO concessions for Senior Citizens.

Was a pleasant way of getting from Pickering to Whitby however the toilets onboard were out of order except for one carriage. Not ideal as the train was full.

Engine broke down. Expecting 30 minutes at destination but only 3 minutes as a result of breakdown.
Rather a "Dad's Army" operation.
