More Reasons to Go
- The hall dates back to the 1390s with a long history closely tied to that of York Minster. It originally served as the dining hall for the Vicars Choral.

Beautiful building/setting for an afternoon tea and a bit of history. Staff were lovely and the tea was delicious. They allowed us to take our dog in too, which was an unexpected bonus!

No adjacent parking, but there is a municipal car park a few minutes walk away. We'd wrongly assumed Bedern Hall is in the countryside....but it's in York city centre!

Wej dined in the actual hall. Wonderful experience. The staff were lovely and so obliging. One member of our party was gluten intolerant and she was very impressed wuth her gluten free items. Only myself had been before. The other 3 members were so impressed with the whole experience they are looking forward to returning soon.

A truly beautiful and very old building with a fascinating history. As well as the excellent afternoon tea we enjoyed being shown round by the volunteer guide. Bedern Hall is tucked away, although so near the Minster, and we had never been aware of its existence till now.
