Plum & Partridge is a country pub with nine rooms in the North Yorkshire village of Husthwaite.
The restaurant serves classic British dishes using local Yorkshire ingredients.
Husthwaite is known for its apple orchards and local cider production. You'll find it on the menu at Plum & Partridge.
The village borders the Howardian Hills National Landscape. Just across the border, you can take an alpaca-walking experience at Beacon Alpacas (not included).
Reach North York Moors National Park in 10 minutes by car. Then, you can explore the rambling countryside on foot.
The picturesque city of York is just over 30 minutes' drive away. Discover its Medieval Gothic minster and ancient city walls.
How to Book: Purchase a voucher from Travelzoo then email reservations@plumandpartridge.co.uk or call 01347 868642 (phone lines are open from midday Wednesday until Sunday) to make a reservation for your desired travel dates. Reservations are subject to availability and early booking is encouraged. Restaurant reservations are subject to availability; please call the hotel ahead of your visit to confirm availability.

We had to cancel last minute due to a visit to A&E so expected to lose our booking but when I spoke to staff member Erin, she offered to move our booking which we thought was extremely generous.

Only downside was because of extreme heat and rooms not being
air conditioned , rooms were very hot .

All staff were polite and tried hard to look after us. An issue we had with our room was sorted out for us Everywhere looked very clean and tidy. The restaurant was spacious and had air conditioning. Fans were provided in the rooms. The beds were very comfortable in both rooms we were given.

I've said we wouldn't return to the hotel. We like to go to different places and explore different areas.
Can recommend a visit to Riveaulx Abbey in July, which is so beautiful and there were many butterflies of different kinds. We also enjoyed a visit to Thirsk which is a lovely market town which is clearly very well looked after.

Beautifully renovated pub in a lovely village. Staff very friendly and the food was amazing, especially the seafood sharing platter. Rooms clean and serviced daily. We were there during a heatwave and appreciated the fan in the room.

This was a lovely stay for us, from the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the room was spotless and had special touches, nice tea tray, beautifully clean and looked after. The food was fantastic, breakfast was delicious and plentiful and accompanied by a really helpful attentive and friendly waiter with lots of helpful ideas on what to do, it’s a refreshing change to meet someone who’s so knowledge and enthusiastic about where they live and work. Overall it was a lovely stay and we’d like to return again sometime.

Great out of the way location with several local walks, yet not far from Knaresborough, York or Harrogate.
If you are into horse racing, within easy reach of Ripon and Thirsk.
The village has its own cider brewery been going for many years, and on draught in the pub, very good.

The building looks smart and well kept and the bedroom was well appointed with good tea tray. The food in the restaurant was well presented and hot. The table service however was slow on both nights particularly between main course and dessert.

There is a 12.5% gratuity charge on the total restaurant bill and this adds significantly to the total cost especially when the initial food/drink prices are quite expensive. Combined with the tardy table service this detracts from the whole experience

Arrived an hour early though room was ready so we were shown to it.
The room was clean, bright, well decorated and furnished. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom all one could want.
The food was delightful and the drinks well priced. Both the lounge, with a log burner, and the restaurant clean, warm and welcoming.

All the staff were welcoming and friendly, especially Emma who served dinner and breakfast. She was keen to ensure we had everything we wanted and always had a smile on her face.
We are looking forward to returning soon and would highly recommend it.

This was a brilliant offer off season. The “pub” has been extensively refurbished and maintained. It is warm, cosy and feels quite luxurious for a local “pub”. Food was good value and tasty. Staff were fantastic. So all in all deserves the 5 stars!!And more.

Had a lovely couple of days at the Plum and Partridge. The rooms are cosy and modern. The lighting was not very good for applying makeup but manageable with a makeup mirror I had taken with me. There was a problem with the thermostat in the shower and bath but was sorted when we brought it to the attention of the staff. The food was excellent and the staff were so polite and helpful.

Our room was in the Hayloft, which meant going outside of the main hotel at the back of the building.

We stayed at the Plum and Partridge for 2 nights on a dinner Bed and Breakfast tariff.
It is a beautiful place . We were made to feel very welcome by the staff who were very friendly and professional.
Our room was lovely and had everything we needed very clean and comfortable .
We chose a full breakfast which was amazing .
We were spoilt for choice with the evening menu .
The pie was delicious also the Steak sandwich and the Pasta dish .
We had a lovely stay and would return again .
