  • The Fell Hotel is part of the Duke of Devonshire's 30,000-acre Bolton Abbey Estate. The property is in a "heart-tugging" location with "restful" guestrooms (The Daily Telegraph).
  • The quintessential North Yorkshire village of Burnsall was used as a location in the film "Calendar Girls". The hotel overlooks the Five Arch Bridge, which spans the River Wharfe.
  • Bolton Abbey is less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. It's home to the ruins of a 12th-century priory church. Walk through the Valley of Desolation and past Posforth Gill Falls for views from Simon's Seat.
  • Brimham Rocks, a National Trust site in the Nidderdale Natural Landscape, is around 30 minutes' drive. Or you could drive to the market town of Pateley Bridge and walk from there. The scenic route takes around 90 minutes.

Everything was very good, staff ,food and the bonus of a spa visit to the sister hotel 10 minutes away.

Parking under a tree in the carpark is not a good idea. Seriously bad large bird droppings,which my husband took 3 hours to clean off.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Travelzoo B&B offer was good value for money. Food was very good and the staff were all pleasant and friendly. We would love to visit again.

Location great, staff helpful, breakfast very good bedroom comfortable and clean.

Bedroom (8) directly above the kitchen and opposite dustbin compound. Awoken each morning before 6 am by deliveries and refuse collection. Extractor fan immediately below our window. Dinner atypical pub food. Ok but unmemorable.
