We attended the Travelzoo Event. Food/accompanying wines at dinner were very good. Breakfast was first-class. Room was very comfortable, well-decorated and furnished well. We really enjoyed the experience.

The hotel was lovely and cosy. The meal was excellent however we felt it was not a balenced choice of dishes - it was very "gamey" - could have had a fish or chicken dish to vary the type of food served

Enjoyed the stay and the meal. Food was excellent for the evening. Breakfast took a while to arrive so we missed the garden tour but walked round it before we left.

Very welcoming, relaxed and comfortable hotel. Solid floors, excellent decor, very good choice of breakfast and space for privacy in the bar area. And electric charger too! Interesting history, developing gardens, quiet village and close to first class venue of Chatsworth

Comfortable accommodation with robes, fresh coffee and chocolate in rooms. The meal was very tasty and well presented with fine ingredients and acccompanying wines were well chosen. The staff were attentive and cheerful without being effusive - it was a bonus that we also got on well with Sally and Steve at our adjacent table and we also had good chats with Tzoo's Steve. The chef, wine merchant and gardener's talks were all very enjoyable, a well rounded event!

When I checked on the wines, they were unexpectedly reasonably priced, this is not a criticism, but a comment on how well they were chosen to complement the courses.

First Travelzoo trip, booked for a birthday treat. Everything very good. Would like the same trip again in June/July so the garden would be more colourful.

Literally the only complaint was all hot food was served on cold plates! Why?
