- Llangoed Hall sits on 17 acres of Welsh countryside. Get lost in the garden maze, ramble down to the River Wye, and keep an eye out for Goldie the resident pheasant.
- The property was once owned by Sir Bernard Ashley and restored in honour of his wife, Laura Ashley. Spot signature textiles and wallpaper throughout the hotel and its 23 individually designed bedrooms.
- The restaurant overlooks the gardens and valley. Food is sourced using local ingredients, with fruit and vegetables handpicked from the hotel kitchen's garden.
- One member who stayed described it as a "peaceful rural setting which encourages relaxation". Another said, "The staff were exceptional, the food amazing, and the whole ambience delightful".
- Hay-on-Wye, the world-renowned town of books, is less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. As in Brecon, a gateway to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

A peaceful rural setting which encourages relaxation and pleasant walks around the grounds and walled garden with plenty of fruiting trees also walks to the River Wye nearby.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, food was good, our deluxe room was excellent.
It was good to return after a long gap to find every effort being made to maintain and run this lovely property in the manner it deserves.

This hotel is an historic building in a peaceful corner of rural Wales. There are things to do nearby - Hay on Wye and the Brecon Beacons - but it is also a lovely place to do nothing. With beautiful views from the hotel room, dining rooms and two large lounges, it is a destination in itself. We ate at the restaurant on our first night, the food was very good.

We enjoyed our stay and the menus provided were very good. We are regular users of Travelzoo and normally find their voucher terms clear but there was a discrepancy between the voucher issued by Travelzoo and the terms the hotel used. We had missed the statement in the confirmation email from the hotel that there was an allowance of £45 for dinner and were expecting a three course meal as promised by Travelzoo. It would not have been possible to have three courses for £45 on the menus we were offered. The food was excellent but felt that it would've been clearer if the voucher terms did not mention three courses and did mention the limit of £45. The ambience of the hotel was lovely and we do hope to return. We feel that the voucher terms could have been described more accurately
