The set menu was limited on choice and a number of choices incurred supplement charges, a bottle of wine was included in the offer which stated this could be exchanged for a different wine upto the equivalent cost when we asked what other wines they had we were told that they could serve us one glass each from wine menu when we checked the wine menu the wine they had on the offer was not available on drinks menu., because it was a very cheap house wine , hence they didn't not have any other wine equivalent to that price . The Decor in the restaurant was very bland and basic suitable to a canteen , and as for views of the park all we could see was a brick wall lined by trees , none of the park was visible. They did offer us complimentary coffee after our meal so they were well aware our experience was not a happy one. I felt very sorry for an elderly couple sitting at the table next to us who were paying full price for their meal and decided to leave half way through their dinner because they were so disappointed by what was served to them. Have had many great experiences over 16 years with Travel Zoo but this was by far the worse .

Yes, we had our waiter from last time (very nice man), although unfortunately, not for the whole experience. We sat by the window overlooking the park and as last time, it was not busy, which is ideal if you have hearing problems.

We were really looking forward to our meal having eaten there last year as one of your deals. It was, sadly, not up to the same standard. One starter, one main and one desert was very good. The other three were not. The starter was tiny and very average in flavour. The chicken was a lump of chicken with two spring onions and a small tart which lacked flavour. The raspberry souffle desert tasted of egg. My mother was extremely unimpressed by the chips we ordered as extra. Last year the food was very exciting and different and we couldn't wait to return if you had another deal. When I booked I was sent an email asking for credit card details and a £25 fine/person if we didn't turn up. I was shocked and very disappointed, having already paid £75 for a meal we hadn't eaten. I explained my mother was 86 and may not make it due to the heat and the member of staff agreed to ensure I didn't have to leave my card details and hence, risk a fine. You should not have to do this having paid in advance already. I do not remember seeing anything in your literature to warn you of this. I didn't have to do this last time. We would consider going back (hence that section ticked and recommending the merchant) in order to see if the chef was having an off day or indeed, if the chef had changed, but we won't be rushing back. If it was our first experience we wouldn't go back.

I had the whole grilled seabass with chimichurri. It was possibly one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. The service was above and beyond. Very lovely waiter. We will absolutely go back; I want to have that fish again!

Wonderful food, fabulous service, with special mention to Bogdan Ozom who took excellent care of my friend and I. A nice setting for a smart/ casual lunch with a friend or clients. Likely good for families as it's rather quiet and the views over the park are very calming. Plated food was very elegant and added something special to our meal. The menu was first class and innovative with dishes I've not seen before but with all the usual ifavoured ngredients. My friend and I really struggled to choose only one option per course.
