The restaurant boasts a minimalist look with shades of terracotta, marble-topped tables, and a light-filled space.
Expect "global flavours in [a] prime Kensington location", says The AA, awarding Origin Kensington two Rosettes.
You'll choose from set menu dishes, many of which are taken from the à la carte. Travelzoo members also have the option to dine at dinner.
The hotel is ideally located for exploring London before or after your meal. It's only a short walk to Hyde Park, the V&A, and Royal Albert Hall.

I received a couple of text messages threatening to cancel my booking unless I entered credit card details.....even though I had prepaid voucher.
This was unnecessary & stressful....
.particularly as there were problems with I'm not a robot site.
The restaurant was fairly empty.....but service was rather slow.....
We waited rather a long time for initial service..... apart from water on the table.
We would have liked a glass of wine at an earlier stage.

We have been to the Restaurant at the Royal Garden Hotel on several occasions over many years - the food is always very good and the service is excellent - lovely restaurant with floor to ceiling windows giving views over Kensington Gardens Park. We will definitely go again !!!!

To make the booking with travel zoo, I called the hotel as requested to book it but they then told me to book with open table and give my credit card details which was unnecessary as already paid and we paid the service harge separately

a particular member of staff called Bogan was extremely helpful and gave us good food recommendations. The food was extremely good quality and only fault was they had overvcooked the roast potatoes but there was a good choice of vegetables with the roast dinner. The fixed lunch menu was actually very innovative with a good choice

Waited 30 minutes once seated for a drink and once we had ordered we waited at least an hour between courses. We’d finished a very expensive bottle of wine before we got our main course and eventually we were offered a complimentary glass of wine because the service was so slow.
We had a wonderful waiter, so sorry I misplaced your card with your name on, but fantastic service, extremely attentive.

Everything was lovely, the food we delicious and the staff were very attentive. The only slightly negative thing was that the wine was very expensive, over £50 for the cheapest bottle, but I guess that isn't unusual for a central London hotel.
