Very warm, sunny day but a nice slow pace and shade taken by the very knowledgeable guide of the Shakespeare sites. Guide had professionally acted in many of the bards plays so provided a good depth of information about the plays and the local sites linked to Shakespeare.

Very interesting and a good small group. The guide (Michael?) was rather full of himself but was also informative about the history of the theatre itself. A visit to the exhibition was curtailed because it was being closed early for ‘an event’. This was particularly disappointing because I waited until it had reopened following a reorganisation.

After the initial problem sorting out our voucher. The tour experience was very good. Lots of information expertly given.

Lucky for us they were rehearsing Romeo and Juliet so we had an added extra to our tour.

The experience was well organised and easy to book. We booked for 2.30 pm but arrived with loads of time to spare. The staff were really helpful and switched us to an earlier tour. The guide was informative and interesting. The sets were up for a modern version of Romeo and Juliet which made it more spectacular. The indoor candlelit theatre was in use so we couldn't officially see inside it but we were lucky enough to visit during the interval. It was amazing to see it all lit up with hundreds of candles.

We spent about an hour on the tour.
