The famed Blackpool Tower is less than 15 minutes away via the seafront tram.
Head to the Victorian Central Pier for a selection of rides, food stalls, and arcades. It's also 15 minutes from the property via the tram.
You could take a day trip along the coast to Lytham. This seaside town has a boating lake, a windmill, and pretty parks.
The Forest of Bowland National Landscape is around 40 minutes' drive from the hotel.

The receptionist was helpful and friendly. They found us a ground floor room as I couldn’t walk long distances. The whole experience for our two days was really good with a lovely room and very good food.

Breakfast was good but Evening meal was ok, bit disappointed there was no condiments to go with chosen meal ie applesauce, mango chutney especially when asked was there anything we would like. I know parking is at a premium but think it’s cheeky to ask for extra £20 to pay.

Lovely hotel with great room. Staff were friendly. It was quite a walk of 2 miles to the Blackpool Tower. As a couple and having visited the famous ballroom we feel that we don’t need a 2nd visit to Blackpool . We did enjoy our stay.

A shame there were so many badly behaved children shouting and running around until gone midnight, especially those in the room above us. Otherwise staff were very good after complaining about lack of service to the manager. Handy location for us as we like to travel by bus around the area and there were plenty of buses. Locals very friendly. Good breakfast plenty of choice.

Travelled by train. Hotel is about 3 minutes walk from Blackpool Pleasure beach station and can be seen from the station. Near the tram/buses to the centre. Pleasure beach amusements beside the property. Good sized room and en suite bathroom. We had booked a mobility room which had all the amenities need for someone with mobility issues. Staff were helpful and for the first time in the UK we were asked to complete a Personal.Evacuation Plan,(PEP) Good buffet breakfast. A limited choice on the set price menu, but we're able to chose from the à la carte menu with credit given.

Pleasant staff throughout the hotel. Well appointed room, clean, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of bathroom toiletries and big, fluffy towels. Tea/coffee/milk/water/biscuits replenished daily too, nice touch. The complimentary wine in the room was a very tasty Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon however we could have changed it for a white or rose if preferred.
Could pay a £5 surcharge to take it into the restaurant to enjoy with dinner. We didn’t realise and would have liked to have known as we always buy wine to accompany our evening meal. Perhaps a note in the room with the wine.
Overall a relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend the Big Blue hotel and the staff who work there. Keep up the good work.

Extremely helpful . As our room was ready they allowed us to check in at approx 10.30 am . The room was very comfortable . Very large double bed ( I think it may have been 2 singles bolted together ) . Easy to swap the bottle of red for rose wine . Reception and restaurant staff extremely obliging and friendly . No issues at all . Thank you .

Great value 2 day break with a 5 star hotel, rooms are very comfortable with all you need and more, iron, small fridge and safe. Lovely view of the Big one with a patio door to open and club chairs to sit and relax. The food was fantastic very tasty and the crème brûlée was to die for - worth a second visit for just for that.

The hotel was exceptional and the deal was probably the best I have had from Travelzoo. The location was handy for all major attractions in Blackpool without being too close to the centre. Staff throughout the hotel were efficient and friendly and could not be faulted. The room was very comfortably and well equipped. The restaurant was excellent and the quality of the food we sampled was of the highest quality. I would not hesitate to return.
