The boutique eatery sits in a central spot in the pretty Kent town of West Malling.
At the helm of the kitchen is new head chef Marcus Clayton. Marcus was crowned Best Young Chef in the UK 2022–2023 by S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy.

The waitress was not very personable. Having ordered a bottle of wine, it was just poured not offered for us to try, not what you would expect in a restaurant like this. Choice on wine list poor as some wines were out of stock. Of the 6 courses between the two of us only one was great. Having bought the voucher with a view to returning, as local would not go back or recommend. Very poor.

The only thing i was dissapointed with, was that it is a very different menu for Travelzoo patrons. It was very limited to what you could order.

We had a surprisingly lovely lunch at this restaurant which was new to us. The chef created some interesting and nicely balanced flavours, the meal was outstanding for the price and the service was friendly and professional. We would definitely go back, St Leonard’s is a little gem with a talented chef and a team who care.

Lovely food and service, only slight issue was the portion sizes were tiny and we actually both came away still hungry. The dessert was called chocolate and was supposed to include chocolate ganache but it was practically non-existent and mainly consisted of biscuit and marshmallow.
